Hello there everyone. I have been ttx #2 for about 18months now. I've had various tests done and all came back fine. Anyway I've heard about clomid and out of pure curiosity I was just wondering if it has to be prescribed or if you can buy it. Also wondering what experiences have people had using it? Wether it's been worth while? Thank you : )

Clomid can only be bought on prescription.
You need to go to your GP to discuss it and to be prescribed it.
It is not suitable for everyone, but depending on the reason for your problems TTC, it can be a very effective treatment.
I took clomid to conceive my DC1 because, although I was having periods, I wasn't actually ovulating. Clomid helped to raise my hormone levels enough to make me ovulate and I conceived with no problems.
Clomid can be given in various doses and I was initially put on a low dose, which wasn't enough.
After a few months of trying, they raised my dose and I conceived immediately.
There is an increased risk of multiple births so they prefer to start on a lower dose first to avoid that.
Talk to your GP about it.
