Taking a HPT on holiday

We will be on holiday around the time my next AF is due and I'm just wondering what your thoughts are- am I being ridiculous to take a HPT with me in case AF is late? Otherwise i'll have to wait around a week and a half to test and won't know whether it's safe to drink on holiday. Am I being a bit OTT by packing a test to take with me?

I have taken a HPT away with me many times (I'm on the 20th cycle of ttc and travel a fair bit, so it has come up a number of times!).

Not at all. You'll only end up buying one if you don't. Good luck!

Hi,

I don't think it's OTT at all... It could be wonderful to find out and celebrate together on holiday but just so long as a negative won't ruin your hol..

I managed to spoil my husbands birthday trip to Dubai earlier this yr- was certain we'd be pregnant that month and the BFN really brought me down- in combo with the pmt!

There's no right or wrong.. See what your other half thinks maybe?
good luck!
Xxx

Thanks guys. Only on our 2nd cycle ttc so I'm expecting it to be a few months so won't be too sad if it's a negative. I'm sure being on holiday will take the edge off it! Xx

Take the taste with you but be aware body can play extra cruel tricks. While I was on hols in south east Asia period was so late I was going nuts (bfns), AF finally turned up in the plane home 9 days late. Could have been a CP, could have been the hot &humid conditions messing me up, I'll neve know.

If you don't take a test you will want to buy one and that will be hassle.
