I have heard that it can help with conception - is that true?

Has anyone tried it?

I tried it for my third IVF treatment and it definitely helped me feel more positive and relaxed. The therapist didn't do any treatment during the 2 week wait but did stuff that was supposed to increase the woo-energy going to my womb area. I have no idea if there is any scientific-basis for it, but I have a 2 year old DD and despite a few problems in pregnancy, managed to stay sane and relaxed most of the time. If you can afford it then I would say have a discussion and session to see how you get on.

I had loads of acupuncture before I got pregnant. It was for a number of reasons, so I can't really say I had conception problems and it was the solution, for sure.

However, I had a messed up cycle and symptoms that would suggest problems ovulating. Acupuncture sorted out my cycle for absolute sure, and when I did TTC it only took one attempt. So I think the acupuncture had something to do with it.

My friend is convinced it helped her, after 11 years of trying and 5 miscarriages.

No guarantees, if course, everyone reacts differently.
But it can't do any harm

I have just done my first month of acupuncture and also had my first ever 28 day cycle after 18 months of trying. I feel much more relaxed and am hoping after a few more months of it I might get my BFP. I you can afford it I would do it, my stress levels are a million times better!! X

I think it is amazing. I had two rounds of failed IUI (no acupunture) and then commenced acupuncture before my third round and fell pregnant with my son. For my second child, I had acupuncture immediately and fell pregnant on the first attempt.

It's worth a try!

I'm on my second round of ivf and this time have opted for weekly acupuncture. I feel so much calmer and positive. And when monitoring my lining pre transfer, my consultant said it was much better than last time. I put that down to the acupuncture. Smile

Hi, I have heard that some hospitals/clinincs are also using accupuncture as an additional treatment, I used it for morning sickness and do believe it had a positive effect for me although can't comment n the fertility side on a personal level. xx
