First day off the pill - feels a bit momentous!!

Hi. Hubby and I are now officially off the pill as of today and ready to start trying to conceive. Feels a bit of a momentous occasion. Yikes! Better start the folic acid tonight. No idea how long it will take - just finding myself feeling like a teenager being a bit apprehensive about sex because of what might happen the following month!! Strange feeling..... anyone else TTC and felt like they were on the brink of something when they came off contraception?

Hi veggie, yes I remember that feeling! I stopped taking the pill on my 30th birthday so it really had a sense of occasion - both scary and exciting! Hope you get your BFP quickly - good luck.

I've not long been off the pill. Ttc our second. No idea about cycle length or ovulation or anything at all. Have had stomach cramps and am grumpy as shit so either pregnant already or due on tomorrow. Again something else I have no idea when it will happen. Grin I'm well organised me.

Hi there, I came off the pill on Monday and we are officially 'trying for a baby', it felt really wierd but exciting too! So strange that I spent so much time paranoid about getting pregnant when I was younger, it feels odd not taking the pill every day

Yeah, I know what you mean. Feels like I should remember to be taking it each night but I don't need to now. Eeeek!!

Just replace it with folic acid before you get out of the habit! Smile

Yay! I got my implant taken out the other week, so we are officially ttc. I hope my hormones aren't too messed up and we get a bfp soon!

Are you telling anyone that you are ttc? I'm not planning to directly, just because I don't want comments or questions! Plus I'm quite private about it anyway

Hi, I came off the pill on Monday as we are ttc #2. It feels very different this time round and we have decided not to really tell anyone our plans at the moment.

I came off the pill just over 4 weeks ago, and I've got used to not taking it (though I was on the injection for years) quite quickly. I am taking folic acid and zinc daily, so I do have that routine.

Now I'm just waiting to see what my cycle does, as it is CD27 today. I'm hoping my hormones go back to normal swiftly.

I've told some people I've come off the pill, but not that I'm actively TTC, more like we are JSing.
