Weird pain in a weird place??

Hi,
We are currently on cycle #3 TTC and I'm either 7 or 8 dpo. The first cycle, I spent symptom spotting like mad and was convinced I was pregnant - I wasn't! Blush
During the second cycle I calmed down a lot and just let things happen. No joy there either but at least I didn't get all upset like the first time!

I do get ovulation pain and my period always arrives exactly 14 days after the ov. pain. I normally ovulate on CD16. However, I have realised that I never notice EWCM, so this month from CD1 until ovulation, I took 2000mg per day. I got EWCM on day 13 and ov pain on CD14 which was a bit early for me but definitely ovulation.

Today (at 7/8 dpo depending on exactly when ov happened - pain was overnight), I've got a really weird pain in my groin. It's in an odd place - basically if you find the bottom of your hip bone and then trace across towards the centre of your abdomen (without moving upwards), it's about halfway. It's much lower than ovulation pain and it's a different type of pain, it feels a bit like I've got a stitch, or as if someone's pinching me there. It hurts when I sit down and also sometimes when I walk.

Has anyone had any experience of this?

Oops, just realised I didn't say what I'd been taking. It was 2000mg of evening primrose oil.

Does anyone have any advice/info? I'm still getting the pains :(

Could it be implantation? At 7/8 dpo this is a good time for implantation. Do you chart your temp?

Hi mooley, thanks for your reply. I don't chart unfortunately otherwise that may have given me a clue. I spoke to a colleague today who said it could be implantation. I do feel kind of achy and puffy/bloated in the general lower abdomen area and have had to pee about 4 times in the last couple of hours. I do feel a bit yuck in general but it could be down to pmt or just being stressed at work.

Just don't want to get my hopes up unnecessarily :(

Unfortunately the only way to know is testing. When is AF due? I suggest waiting until the day of AF or until it's late and testing. Sadly PMS and pregnancy symptoms are similar if not identical.

Fx'd it's implantation and you get that BFP though Smile

Well if I'd ov'd at the normal time it would've been 23rd June but going with when I ov'd this month it should be 20th. I'll probably wait until 24th and if no AF by then I'll do a test. Really hope it's a bfp.

Aaaargh, forgot to update this. Got a bfp on 26th June and am now 10 weeks pg. Looks like those pains were from implantation. Thanks for the advice mooley
