How long was your cycle after stopping the pill?

HI

Just wanted to ask how long was your cycle after you stopped taking the pill for a long time. I had been on the pill for 8 years, had a long, heavy AF a few days after I stopped but now nothing since. I am on day 37 now but had 2 negative pregnancy tests?

Don't get me started - I came off Cerazette exactly 9 weeks ago today and have not had even a spottage of AF yet. So thus far, my cycle is 63 days long and counting.

Sorry, not terribly helpful OP but needed a rant. I do hope things settle into a pattern for you soon (or you get your BFP if that's what you're after!)

Its so frustrating isn't it. I knew it may take a while for cycle to settle down but still annoying

Ladies, sorry I am not going to help as I know exactly what you are going through as this was me last yeat. I came off Cerazette in May and didn't get my first period until Sept. You will be pleased to know it did settle down into a very regular pattern after that but still no BFP for me yet.

Good luck.

After coming off Cerazette I had my first AF after exactly 28 days, then the next one was 42!
After that it settled down to between 30 and 34.

when i came off microgynon to concieve ds1 it went straight back to normal, but after pregnancy i went on cerazette mini pill while feeding, then back onto microgynon for about 9 months. I had periods every other week when on cerazette but only when on break with microgynon. Started TTC dc2 and my periods were all over the place, anything from 3 weeks to 6 weeks, although always 2 weeks after ov (doing tests). it took 9 months to get pregnant, 8 months longer than last time and periods still not regular although between 3 & 4 weeks so better. Did a bit of research online and lots of people have really struggled with getting periods at all or regular after taking cerazette. sometimes 2 yeras +

which were you on

I was on mycrogynon for about 5 years and my periods started between 25- 27 day cycle. Everyone is different I suppose. Just make sure you keep track on cycle days.

Must have been about 10 weeks if I've calculated correctly. I had a couple of negatives tests, then went to the docs and got tested and they gave me a due date of Feb 15th. When I had my scan the baby was tiny and they revised the due date to March 26th. She was born early April. Good job they have scans these days rather than relying on the date of your last period, or everyone would have been panicking that my baby was nearly 2 months late Grin.

I was on Microgynon for about 10 years and it took 8 months for my periods to return. They were then very irregular (sometimes no period for 3 months) for about a year and have only just settled into regular cycles 30-35 days. Luckily I wasn't TTC until recently but was very annoying.

I was on Clavette (sure I've not spelt it right).

Thanks for your replies, I guess I may have to wait quite a while longer then
