We finally agreed on trying for a third. We had sex (4 days prior to my predicted ovulation date) and the very next day (i.e yesterday) have been feeling very bloated, gassy, burping all day and have a funny taste in my mouth.

I am inclined towards it being a plain case of indigestion, or maybe something didnt agree with my stomach, but I was interested to know how soon ppl started experiencing pregnancy symptoms after doing the deed. I am pretty sure its too early to be symptomatic, but hey ho, its good to be hopeful!

I had symptoms within 36hours-namely the metallic taste in my mouth for 2days. Was disgusting. But I knew! Was right too, but knowing so soon made it the longest pregnancy!

Especially as with number 1 I didn't realise till 15wks Blush and she decided staying inside was no good so arrived at 34 wks!

double - at the risk of being a naysayer, if you had symptoms three days before you were due to ovulate, are they not linked to ovulation? You can't have pregnancy symptoms before you ovulate, so if they are pregnancy symptoms then you must have ovulated early. Does that make sense? Maybe I'm just misunderstanding your first post.

With regard to when you can have symptoms... With my first pregnancy I knew by 4dpo. Didn't get a positive until 12dpo but I wasn't fussed: I knew :)

There's also scientific proof that you can have symptoms before implantation. Google 'early pregnancy factor' and it explains it all. Basically the fertilised egg gives out messages back to the ovary to start preparing the body for pregnancy and this can give you pregnancy symptoms. Doesn't necessarily mean that the fertilised egg will implant and grow, but it's obviously a good sign. So yes, you can definitely get symptoms from fertilisation onwards.

Within 36hrs too...though at the time I didnt realise. I would retch every time I answered the works phone (switchboard) and my nipples hurt so much in the shower i had to keep my back to the spray.

Never spotted though.

Tested +ve the day beforr AF due with a boots own brand test.

woke up last night around 2ish, with excrutiating period type pain, actually felt like a contraction! subsided after 5mins.

still spotting, other symptoms almost gone, except the light-headedness and headaches.

yes, oceans - think symptoms are likely to be linked to ovulation, esp after last night.
