I cracked and did a first response last night. bfn Sad

At least I'm getting my head round it probably not happening this month - I was getting worried at how excited I was getting.

Still have internet cheapies on order and still have stupid urge to test everyday but think af will probably come at the weekend although there's still a little voice in my head saying it could be wrong and I've been googling first response reviews to find reports of false negatives

Going to try and calm down for next cycle - it's difficult though. I do have a wedding in a couple of weeks so at least I can enjoy a drink or ten two there!

cd33 today

SunshineOutdoors · 27/06/2012 09:19

btw just read that back - to clarify, it's not my wedding, it's a friend of mine getting married.

SunshineOutdoors · 27/06/2012 09:20

oooh I am stitch that sounds hopeful... when were you originally planning to test? fingers crossed for you

kittykatsforever · 27/06/2012 09:56

I'm totally giving up the ss this month, I swear if I didn't know I wasn't pg I'd think I was, headaches, nauseous, few spots ( never have) and absolutely knackered all the time!! God knows where it's come from unless it's because this is first proper af in over a year?!?
I wish my cycle would hurry along, I've a feeling it's going to be a long one, cd7 and still spotting! I want to get on with getting jiggy however the jury's still out on how I'm playing it this month, I'm waiting on your results lol

resipsa · 27/06/2012 10:13

RIBS & Ted - do not worry too much about the age thing, please. I'm 41 so the same age as the gran in the older post! GAWD, is that what people think when I walk aroud with DD (17 months)...? Shock

PuppyMummy · 27/06/2012 10:40

Sorry to hear that Sunshine, although not over yet. fingers crossed no af at weekend.

redstrawberry · 27/06/2012 11:11

Sorry to hear that sunshine hope she doesn't show up.
I didn't experience the delayed AF and bfn thing this month as she showed up 3 days early. In a way thankful that I didnt have to go through it again.

Unfortunately they are 98% accurate on the day AF is due. There is still a smallchance though that you may have implanted late and the hcG levels haven't been detected yet.

Hope either way you find out for sure soon.

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 27/06/2012 11:15

Sorry about bfn sunshine but.... it is still early days.

iamstitch what changes have you noticed to cervix. I didn't know the cervix did anything interesting in early preg. Fx for you

Ribs, Ted, resipsa none of you are old. I know loads of first time mums who are late 30s early 40s.

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 27/06/2012 11:21

Am kicking myself for not having dtd yet this cycle. Just got a positive opk on cd15 (I though yesterday was cd 15 but got mixed up).
Don't really understand why it has happened now, I don't feel like I am ovulating. Cm is still creamy not clear, don't feel particularly interested in sex but cervix is v high today (sorry tmi).

Dh's services will definitely be required later on but I don't think this will be the month for us.

redstrawberry · 27/06/2012 11:25

RIBS, ted & repisa I think older but wiser parenting is a good thing :)
Besides I know a 42 year old who is a chilled out and fantastic parent.

Changes to cervix vary for women, some say it moves lower and get softer, others have said they felt theirs hard like nose and higher up when they are pregnant. Not sure which to believe?

tedmundo · 27/06/2012 11:27

sunshine .. FRER are the devils work. Wait until the day before your period. I think that will be more reliable. I would say wait until the day but we are only human!!

iamstitch .. It's sounding promising. Fx fx fx!!

resipsa .. It is just when you graduate into that 'special' age group category on fertility papers that you feel a bit .. Waaargghhhh .. About it all! I don't actually give two tosses about my age, but I have now accepted that this TTc journey is likely to take a wee bit longer this time.

Boobs no longer hurt, no sickness today and feeling quite perky! No more symptom spotting for me! It seems meaningless with my confusing body!

redstrawberry · 27/06/2012 11:36

ah are you late sunshine or is AF due sat? If its due Sat then you prob tested too early. After 13dpo you tend to get a better result :)

fx for you x

SunshineOutdoors · 27/06/2012 12:16

Yeah, I'm due Sat! Just impatient Grin v pleased with your responses - let the hope begin again!

winkle2 · 27/06/2012 12:48

sunshine sorry about BFN but there's still time - hope it was too early.

OP posts:
SunshineOutdoors · 27/06/2012 13:24

Thanks. I'm annoyed because I feel wiped out and shitty, and if it's because I'm pg then that's great. But if I'm not then I just feel wiped out and shitty.

Apologies for being the negative one today Smile

resipsa · 27/06/2012 13:43

Another vote for hanging in until Fri/Sat to test again. When I was preganant the first time, I tested at 6 weeks (was going thru a work move so had temporarily forgotten about TTC!) and the CB digital said 1-2 weeks so if I'd tested before the start of week 5, I might well have got a BFN.

There is definitely hope!

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 27/06/2012 13:56

Don't worry sunshine we all have off days. Hope you feel better soon (actually I don't I hope you feel a bit worse tomorrow and get a BFP Grin).

( like a little opk giving you hope for the month he he)
You really are like your name arnt you Smile
So girls what is the rough ages here, I thought mn would be the youngsters but surprised ( pleasently) to not feel like an old hen, is there anyone under 30 around or are they the ones who don't join a thread as they get updiffed first try?

SunshineOutdoors · 27/06/2012 14:08

Sad lisamol

Small recompense I know, but at least the next cycle starts earlier... and might be shorter? Less time 'til next chance of bfp.

Have a Wine

Will you get another July chance?

( any chance it's implantation bleeding?)

kittykatsforever · 27/06/2012 14:09

Sorry Lisa, mine was the same Sad
Are you sure it's af though, not to build up hope but 6 days sounds very early and is usual the time of implantation?

SunshineOutdoors · 27/06/2012 14:09

30 here

redstrawberry · 27/06/2012 14:12

without warning signs lisa?

Kitty I turned 30 at the beginning of this year - still hanging on to my '18' mug at work Grin you are only as old as you feel

kittykatsforever · 27/06/2012 14:14
