Hi, well... the details are all in the title. I was due on my period 9 days ago. I have not come on. I am usually regular and have never missed a period in my life. I have no discomfort. I am wondering if it could be possible that i am pregnant although the test said negative. I used a cheep test from a pharmacy. Any advice? thoughts?

That happened to me last cycle - first time for me too. I think I must have just ovulated late. My period eventually arrived (sadly).

It is possible that you are pregnant, so I'd probably test again in a couple of days and then, if it is still negative, think about seeing the doctor.

As I'm sure you know the date your period starts is governed by the date you ovulated, not the date of your last period. Therefore, as said above, if you ovulated late, your period is likely to be late.

Did you do anything stressful or travel a lot this month?

Hi, thank you for responding :).

Yes true point. How does one work out approximatly when ovulation occured?

I have had the most wonderful, stress free month and have just been enjoying myself. I dont have any other symptoms (i am always needing to go to the toilet so that has not changed) The only thing i am aware of is an unquenchable thirst.

I think it may be a good idea to test later if i still fail to come on.

Thanks again for both reply's!

You can work out when ovulation occurred by monitoring your cervical mucus, it happens soon after EWCM dries up, by using OPKs and by taking your temperature every day.
Sadly none of these are things you can do in retrospect.

I would try a different brand of test. Superdrug own brand are trusted by many women here.

Was going to say that you are most probably not pregnant but an unquenchable thirst was one of my first pregnancy symptoms. Do a clear blue digital test, if it says no, I guess there is your answer.

If it doesn't come do to and see doc as they can do blood test - in some women it takes quite a while for hcg hormone to make it into urine. If you are usually quite regular sounds like you are very late. Surely the most likely time to get pg is when you are enjoying yourself and not stressing! Good luck
