Due to the luck thread starters have, I thought I'd mark a place for the second thread as we are so chatty!

Here's to BFPs for us all :-)

Aw, I understand Nicola but I think what I am learning here is this TTC malaky is all about patience. It is disappointing but then you can just be hopeful for next month.

Wish I had a football free evening ladies. Instead I have managed to get DP to wash up in between matches but I will have to listen to the cheers and sighs for the next few weeks!

KickTheGuru · 09/06/2012 19:23

Queenie - look at baby goodies online Grin

redstrawberry · 09/06/2012 19:41

Congrats again Queen it must be a fab day for you :)
I'm really really happy for you...glad you are sticking around longer.

nicola my mum was very fertile too - first month both times. Just wish some of her luck rubs off on me soon

Pinkie29 · 09/06/2012 19:45

Sorted now queenie!

Big hugs to you ladies having a hard time today try and stay positive it WILL happen

Popinda · 09/06/2012 19:59

Pinkie - just looked at your profile to checked on your bfp and I must say you did enough tests to make sure it's positive! So exciting! GrinGrin you could share some of them with us. Grin

DulcetMoans · 09/06/2012 20:04

Pregnant ladies - asda has some juices that are cocktails without the alcohol at the moment. Im currently drinking a strawberry daiquiri, it's pretty tasty! If you fancy something different that feels naughty over the 9 mnths then it could be a option.

That's the best tip I can offer! Haha.

MissMedusa · 09/06/2012 20:21

Congrats Queen!

MissMedusa · 09/06/2012 20:24

In other (fascinating tmi) news this this is my first month using Evening Primrose and my preliminary report is lots of goop. No EWCM as of yet but it's too early for that (CD10) but lots of goop nonetheless.

alwyn · 09/06/2012 20:26

All information is worth having medusa!!

DulcetMoans · 09/06/2012 20:30

I know you aren't supposed to read the test after a certain period of time but just seen it in the bin with a faint line on it. Defo wasn't there this morning. Why would it change? Trying not to think about it but have to ask!

KickTheGuru · 09/06/2012 20:30

My DH said he noticed lots more cm

good to help the swimmers get up there if your DTD lots

Popinda · 09/06/2012 20:43

Is evening primrose supposed to enhanced your fertility? Sorry if silly question, but have no idea what evening primrose is for and some other things that you ladies mentioned way back. Blush

Maclairey · 09/06/2012 21:10

Ah Queen it's a shame that you cant celebrate with DH tonight but I would be doing exactly as kick suggested, online "research" for baby goodies.

Just watched the last episode of OBEM from the most recent season and then the what happens next episode. Feeling suitably broody now. Mind you I do love that program and could quite happily watch it all evening. But as I have run out I am now watching Gavin & Stacey re-runs.

Maclairey · 09/06/2012 21:14

Popinda I think EPO is supposed to increase EWCM. I haven't tried it but I think you are meant to take it from cd1 until ovulation. I don't think it actually increases fertility though.

I am wondering whether i should take anything next cycle. I am a bit worried about having 50+ day cycles all the time. Was contemplating Agnus Castus but can't seem to find much info about it except that it works really well for some and makes things worse for others.

Popinda · 09/06/2012 21:18

Maclairey - thanks. I think Pinkie was taking something to shorten her cycles. Ask her.

KickTheGuru · 09/06/2012 21:20

EPO just increases cm. Which helps sperm swim up and acts like ewcm.

It works because we have totally experienced it :)

KickTheGuru · 09/06/2012 21:21

Vitex shortens your cycles :)

alwyn · 09/06/2012 21:22

As in, it definitely increases cm :)

KickTheGuru · 09/06/2012 21:23

Which is the same as that angus stuff

Pinkie29 · 09/06/2012 21:23

Pop I've done loads more I still can't believe it Smile

Maclairey I took 3000mg epo and 2000mg Vitex up to ovulation this cycle. The vitex works to regulate the cycle somehow? Just google Vitex or Angus Castus and you'll get plenty of info. This was the first time I'd used it and my smiley appeared on cd16 it was cd28 the month before and my cycles have varied from 34 - 56 in the past

Maclairey · 09/06/2012 21:43

Thanks Pinkie that's really helpful. I am just a bit worried because I don't know when I ovulate. I was planning on using the CBFM next month to try and pinpoint ovulation but I am not sure that will definitely work. I am also not sure whether to try and let things sort themselves out naturally for a couple of months. So many things to think about but I don't think I can handle another cycle as long as this one has been.

Pinkie did you use vitex and EPO straight away after coming off the pill?

alwayshopeful13 · 09/06/2012 21:49

Hello everyone,

Can I join? I'm new to Mumsnet - just joined this evening having realised it's a a pretty good source of sanity, support and advice when ttc. I guess I'm after a bit of friendly advice about whether there's anything we can try to help our ttc chances.....

We had a mmc at 11 weeks in December 2011 (got pregnant on the 2nd month of trying) and here after 6 months trying and no joy. I know 6 months isn't dire straits (I'm 33 DH 30) but it happened quickly first time so we thought (naively so it seems) that it would be the straightforward enough next time. We've been doing all the obvious things - good diet, lots of exercise, no booze, and lots of you-know-what obv, trying to time things against ov signs and sensible eh (TMI) positions etc. But no joy. It is v frustrating as lots of you know. The monthly game of raised and dashed hopes is so hard, especially when we're trying to talk ourselves into the whole "it will happen when it's right, mother nature will have her way, actually no....for g* sake why doesn't it happen NOW!!"

I've heard mention of a test called AMH - maybe that's something we should look into. I know we're not at the stage where the doc is likely to take us seriously about "having problems conceiving" as it's only 6 months, but if there is an underlying problem, I'd rather know now. And if going private rather than NHS means we'd get tests sooner we probably would. Welcome any thoughts on what we could do... Thank you xxx

alwyn · 09/06/2012 21:52

Welcome hopeful!

alwayshopeful13 · 09/06/2012 21:53

Thank you alwyn! This seems like a v friendly place :-)

alwyn · 09/06/2012 21:55

I'm scared of the rest of MN, TBH!
