Due to the luck thread starters have, I thought I'd mark a place for the second thread as we are so chatty!

Here's to BFPs for us all :-)

purple I promised myself after last month disappointment that I will be more relax and not symptom spot, but as it is coming closer to end of my cycle, I can't think of anything else than am I or am I not? So hard not to know! Was thinking this morning how did women cope before ov sticks and hpt?? Smile

DulcetMoans · 20/06/2012 09:08

I did but nothing conclusive pop. I could tell myself I could see the faintest of fainest lines. More like being able to see where the line would be if there was a line. But nothing I would come say a firm yes to i'm afraid.

Agreed this week is going slow though! Jeez, how can it only be Wednesday?! This TTC thing takes so much time! Not the length of time we spend TTC but the waiting. Waiting for AF, waiting to ovulate, implantation occurs x days after ovulation, pregnancy hormone shows x days after implantation so test after x days. The days keep adding up that im surprised any of us know we are pregnant before the baby arrives!

Getting very impatient!

NutBiscuit · 20/06/2012 09:11

Ah...sorry to hear that Nicola. Although in some ways I'd be glad to see AF now - at least I'd know that my body still 'works' after the pill. CD31 for me.....

Congratulations on the wedding Newbie - what date in April did you get married?

NicolaHazel · 20/06/2012 09:24

As I was on the injection, I was really worried my body would be a bugger.

Maybe I do have my family's fertility genes, in a way! This cycle please! :-)

So jealous Nicola!

Hey Echo anything to report.

CD60 for me today. Docs booked for 2 July. The question is do I a) start taking Vitex or b) not do anything until I have spoken to doc?

Answers on a postcard please

Maclairey · 20/06/2012 10:18

SOD IT - I am taking matters into my own hands! I have started the Agnus Castus today and I am going to buy some Clearblue digi ovulation sticks and start testing for ovulation straight away. Clearly I havent ovulated at all since coming off the pill so I am hoping that the AC will kick start this and by testing, I will know whether it works or not. If nothing happens before 2 July, I will be on day 72 and so the doctor should hopefully take me seriously. Of course, I am hoping that by making the appointment and starting the AC that something will actually happen in the next week and a half. Please send me some luck

NicolaHazel · 20/06/2012 10:44

Good luck, Maclairey!

Never had anyone be jealous of AF before!! :-)

Newbie2 · 20/06/2012 11:40

Nicola I thought you were on the pill? I am too very jeolous :(

Nut I got married on 14th April.

Mclairey you go girl! My doctor was very positive about us long cycles doing OV sticks. It's proof that something is not happening which helps your case when the doctor says wait another month etc

Newbie2 · 20/06/2012 11:43

CD 38 for me. What day is too long for a cycle? Does it go up to 42 days?
No AF signs for me. I think last weeks tummy bug messed me up :(

Newbie2 · 20/06/2012 11:45

Mclairey forgot to say I think you're taking the right actions and Clear Blue sticks are really good!

NicolaHazel · 20/06/2012 11:48

Hi Newbie

I came off the injection in Feb and it can take 1 - 2 years to clear the system.

I only had 4 packs of pill, then ditched them, so wasn't sure if the injection would still be having an impact.

I'd been told by my nurse that the pill withdrawal bleed probably showed I would be OK (as no AF on injection), but it is nice that my body has confirmed it is at least partly in working order!

MissMedusa · 20/06/2012 12:27

CD21 for me today and I agree the wait is agonising this week. Can this week just hurry up and be done with?

Maclairey I know you've already started and it's probably not a problem but I would consult with the doctor before starting anything like that. You'll be seeing one soon enough anyway though so be sure to mention it.

Dulcet my fingers are crossed for you. I know it's too early to offer hope but I'm really rooting for you. Unless this start/stop of AF thing is normal for you, I'd say you really are in with a good chance. I know I've never had AF start and stop like that and it would be a definite sign to me that something was going on.

Nicola sorry to hear about AF turning up but I know what you mean about being happy about the nice, normal cycle. It's a good sign and now you won't be showing under your wedding dress.

NicolaHazel · 20/06/2012 13:01

Thanks, Medusa...my thoughts exactly!

And boy has AF come with a vengeance. So much heavier than I remember :-(

And, TMI alert, but the blood is more brown than a pill period. Is that because this is a natural bleed and the pill isn't?

OP posts:
DulcetMoans · 20/06/2012 13:58

Thanks medusa. This certainly isn't normal for me. I never stop start and my AF is far from light usually so i'm sure its something. Just hoping its not the thinking about it that has made it happen as have read stress etc can affect AF.

Nicola- that does sound similar to my experience of AF and I haven't been on the pill ever. It is darker in colour, especially when it is thicker. (made sure I finished my lunch before coming back to discuss! haha!)

NicolaHazel · 20/06/2012 14:19

Yeah, sorry about that Dulcet! I've just forgotten what a natural AF is like! I'm glad it appears normal :-)

Fx for you...it does sound promising.

Ah Nicola I was mixing you up with Popinda. There must be about 20 of us on this thread now! Who's going to have the next BFP :)

Newbie2 · 20/06/2012 14:33

OK I am a teenager again on CD 38, that is all. I've just read...

"The average menstrual cycle is 28 days long. Cycles can range anywhere from 21 to 35 days in adults and from 21 to 45 days in young teens."

Newbie2 · 20/06/2012 14:36

This means I have exactly one more week of being a teenager :)

NicolaHazel · 20/06/2012 14:38

No worries, Newbie, easy done!

OP posts:
Newbie2 · 20/06/2012 14:40

Nicola have you chosen what perfume you're going to wear on wed day? So exciting :)

NicolaHazel · 20/06/2012 15:41

Ooh...no!

I think a trip to Boots is in order. :-)

OP posts:
MissMedusa · 20/06/2012 15:46

My wedding perfume was Daisy by Marc Jacobs.
Ugly bottle but it was nice and fresh and summery to match my wedding.

Newbie2 · 20/06/2012 15:59

Medusa nice choice. I enjoy wearing Daisy. I chose Chloe the new green bottle as it was fresh for my spring wedding :) Nicola go for something that makes you feel calm and comforted, don't worry about it bring trendy etc. Sometimes what you have already is just as good because the familiar smell will comfort you on the day :)

Urr why do I have a headache :( I never have headaches

DulcetMoans · 20/06/2012 16:22

Headache? Test, test, test! haha.

Newbie2 · 20/06/2012 16:26

Nope not until the weekend when my cheapies arrive :)
