Due to the luck thread starters have, I thought I'd mark a place for the second thread as we are so chatty!

Here's to BFPs for us all :-)

Hi all, I briefly joined you on the previous thread but have been lurking since then Smile. I'm on CD30 today, in a similar position to Nicola , first month off the pill and no idea what my cycle length is as I can't remember pre-pill! So.......when to test? I don't want to get too excited and test too early as I think a) it's highly unlikely that I'll be pregnant first month off the pill and b) I don't want the disappointment of a BFN. But not sure how long I can hold out!

NicolaHazel · 19/06/2012 19:38

Ooh...we really are close together then :-)

I've already tested a few times. It's rude not too when the tests are so cheap!

Any sign that ERTD is on the way, Nut?

OP posts:
NutBiscuit · 19/06/2012 19:42

No, none at all. I had a horrible headache all weekend which just wouldn't go away, not sure what, if anything, that's an indication of. Might have to order up some of those cheap tests....no doubt if I do AF will arrive before they do Smile

NicolaHazel · 19/06/2012 19:52

Yep...law of sod, as it's known. May as well entice AF and move on though!

I've got a shitty cold and have been feeling quite weird since the weekend. But as much as I'd like the heartburn, extreme hunger and fluttery inner feeling to be pregnancy, it is probably just all related to germs!

It's rather nice to have someone just one day ahead of me :-)

OP posts:
NutBiscuit · 19/06/2012 19:55

Yep, it's weird isn't it, to think there's someone else out there in exactly the same position. Sorry to hear about your cold...hope you're feeling better soon Thanks

NicolaHazel · 19/06/2012 19:59

Awww...thank you :-)

I think I've been annoying people at work with my cough. And one girl seems frustrated that I won't go to the doctor. It is only a cold, so I won't waste the doctor's time! And I had a little nosebleed at my desk today too. Lovely :-/

How old are you, Nut?

OP posts:
NutBiscuit · 19/06/2012 20:03

Just turned 30. Just got married in April too so if you need any tips let me know!

NicolaHazel · 19/06/2012 20:06

Ah, you have younger eggs on your side as I'll be 36 in November. :-)

Ta...how do I get people to bloody RSVP?! They've had 2 months so far and there's a month to go, but quite disappointed with the response so far. Frustrating :-(

OP posts:
NutBiscuit · 19/06/2012 20:11

Ah....now that I can't help with. I got so frustrated with people not RSVPing to me. I reckon about 20 people hadn't responded by the date we asked them to so we ended up calling them and asking them. Some people NEVER replied and then just turned up on the day! (Thankfully they were just evening guests but still..)

NicolaHazel · 19/06/2012 20:18

I'm almost minded to put a message on Facebook telling people not to turn up if they haven't responded as we won't have catered for them..maybe a bit blunt / likely to be seen as rude. But isn't it more rude to not RSVP but show up?!

OP posts:
NutBiscuit · 19/06/2012 20:22

I thought it was v rude! You'll get a lot of people saying "your wedding day just isn't that important to other people and it's easy to forget to reply", but these people obviously managed to remember the date, time and venue of the party but couldn't manage a text to let us know they were coming? Hmm

NicolaHazel · 19/06/2012 20:27

People are SO annoying. I think we would just elope if we did it again. :-)

OP posts:
alwyn · 19/06/2012 20:32

I'm with you Nicola!! So much hassle from mother in law and generally wouldn't mind someone just organising it for me!!

NicolaHazel · 19/06/2012 20:47

Ah, well...all my in laws to be HATE me and aren't coming! How nice of them to 'support' H2B like that.

Barely any of my family have responded either. And some of them were political invites only.

Other people, despite vaguely saying they're coming on Facebook, they haven't actually formally responded.

My mum had a nervous breakdown a couple of months ago and I've no idea how well she will be by October.

And it goes on...

OP posts:
NutBiscuit · 19/06/2012 21:02

Wow, that sounds awful. Really hope your mum will be able to make it. And by the sounds of it, it's for the best that your in-laws won't be coming anyway - you only want people who love you there on your wedding day.

Newbie2 · 19/06/2012 21:59

Hi Nut I also got married in April :) and 30. Seriously regret not coming off the Yasmin pill sooner as my body is taking a long time to get back to normal hence why I am daily checking whether I've ovulated with sticks.

Nicola Nut is right. You really only want to have people around who love you. My opinion is Quality is bette then quantity at weddings :) I too had problems with RSVPs...so rude!

NicolaHazel · 19/06/2012 22:20

I know, Nut and Newbie. It was a huge shock when all their RSVPs came in, as I really hadn't expected them to ALL say no, and we've had arguments about it as well. (Not him blaming me, more me saying how pathetic they are, as I was adult enough to invite them and would have been civil on the day even though I detest them, which I did for his sake. And they couldn't even be adult enough to support their son at his wedding.)

Ah well, their loss really.

Would you believe my pre-AF feelings have buggered off again now? :-.

OP posts:
Newbie2 · 19/06/2012 23:07

Nicola I'm experiencing the same thing. One hour I'll be sure AF is arriving and then the next hour I'm back to square one. I really think I'm thinking and worrying way too much about this. I tried to have a walk and a bath this evening but neither made me feel relaxed :(

NicolaHazel · 19/06/2012 23:10

Glad it isn't just me!

At least I felt like something was happening with ovary pain and cramps. When there's nothing at all it's no help at all (albeit normal!).

Oh well, bed now and see what happens tomorrow.

OP posts:
Popinda · 20/06/2012 06:50

newbie, nicola I have been feeling same, I thought that af is coming very early and then hour later nothing! I am very secretly hoping that maybe it was implantation? I'm trying not to get my hopes up, but impossible! Will have to test soon! Grin
nicola sounds awful about your in-laws! I know how how it hurts when people rsvp no! Sad

Popinda · 20/06/2012 06:51

dulcet have you managed to poas this morning? Smile

Popinda · 20/06/2012 08:33

Is is it just me or is this week going incredibly slowly? I look at my period app about 100 times today and nothing changed! Still cd24!! Aaarrr this 2ww is killing me! I'm trying sooo hard not to symptom spot but it's impossible! However, saying that I have no symptoms whatsoever! No sore boobs, no cramps, nothing! I'm hoping that's mean I'm pg! What is this ttc doing to me? Sad
Feeling much better after my little rumble! Thanks for listening! Smile you ladies are awesome! Fx for bfp's for everyone! Smile

NicolaHazel · 20/06/2012 08:37

Ahhh...proper AF pain today. In a way I'm glad, as odd as that seems! Hope she finally just appears and I can get on with a proper cycle, as the first one doesn't seem proper as the pill withdrawal bleed isn't natural!

OP posts:
purplefairies · 20/06/2012 08:45

Hi ladies - I can't believe this is the second thread already. Hopefully we'll all get our BFPs on this one.

I'm just back from my holiday and AF arrived on CD32. I know I should be pleased to even have something of a cycle after so many years on the pill, but I'd somehow (stupidly) convinced myself I was pregnant (nausea for 2 weeks, going off wine, thrush and bloating)....so I was a bit disappointed to say the least. Needless to say that after so many symptoms last month, I won't be so quick to think I'm pregnant again in the future.

Oh well, here's to cycle #2....

NicolaHazel · 20/06/2012 08:48

Yep...been to the loo and today is CD1. A nice neat 29 day cycle.

Let the charting commence. Kind of.

Four of us in a 6 woman team at work all at the same time too. If it coordinated me, I'm grateful!
