Due to the luck thread starters have, I thought I'd mark a place for the second thread as we are so chatty!

Here's to BFPs for us all :-)

Morning all. So PIAGUNJ (peed in a glass used to be a nutella jar) BFN.

maclairey think I will just start Vitex as it arrives.

All this closet PIAGUNJ is hard work. Esp keeping all evidence from DH.

KickTheGuru · 15/06/2012 08:16

So the insatiable thirst came to a head on Sunday. Went out to Serpentine Lido for a swim and just didn't feel very well. I suppose I should add things like extremely tired, nauseas, heart rate really mad, can't breathe, occasional eye sight blurry. Got home and vomited all night. A&E first thing on Monday morning to a blood glucose level of 36 and am now Type 1 Diabetic. Was in crititical care because everything was completely depleted so have bruises up my arms from the millions of pipes and tubes.

Until my bloods are settled, I will have to put off TTC

AF should have arrived on Wednesday but still nothing. Not even bothering with a test since the doctors said it's virtually impossible that I woudl have even ovulated this month with my body basically shutting down...

So I am out for the next few months...

And they wanted me to participate in research which I woudl have been keen to do (type 1 is the 1 in 10 people diabetes, that should normally hit when you are a teenager - not 30) but it's a year long and we wouldn't be able to breed then.

KickTheGuru · 15/06/2012 08:17

That said, the diabetes is more than likely the reason I haven't managed to conceive. And I feel loads better.

Wanted to add the positive bits in :D

Popinda · 15/06/2012 08:20

So sorry to hear about your bfn! Sad let's hope af arrives soon so you can start properly.
I also hide my poas addiction from dh! I'm very good at it! He has no clue! I just tell him when is time to dtd. Grin although I think he seen the hundreds of ov sticks in the bin. Grin

Popinda · 15/06/2012 08:24

Oh kick that's is a bad news! Really sorry to hear that! At least you know what was the problem! What you going to do now? Are you going to stop trying completely? How long for?

Maclairey · 15/06/2012 08:26

Hey kick welcome back!!!! Glad you are feeling much better. I had a feeling that it might be diabetes. At least you know now and you can get on with getting yourself back to full health. It is also good news that you may now have a reason that you haven't conceived yet. Hopefully once your bloods get back to normal you will be able to proceed with ttc full steam ahead.

I still don't know what to do Echo. I feel your pain though. I am going to poas tomorrow and take it from there.

Hello everyone else. I am so pleased its Friday. Not been feeling myself this week do glad for a rest at the weekend.

KickTheGuru · 15/06/2012 08:37

I have a lot of hand-holding ahead of me. The doctors said they have no idea how I managed to run and cycle and swim while my body was shutting down. My phosphate was 0.1 and it should have been 10. My body was basically acid and I had no bicarb left. I had no calcium, no potassium, magnesium low etc etc. They said if I'd left it a few more days, it would have been a lot worse off. And the only real reason I went into hospital was because I'd been vomiting all night.

Anyway - I went to Guys and St Thomas and apparently they're the shit for diabetes. They have been awesome actually so was really fortunate. They will get my sugars to where they need to be and we can probably start trying in two or three months time.

SO nice not to get up all night to pee and to make my own saliva, and to not have a thundering heart rate or to be so thirsty. My house felt sticky yesterday! I had to clean it Grin

Anyone else get BFPs??

Popinda · 15/06/2012 09:47

kick I have decided I'll get bfp in two weeks time! GrinGrinGrin

KickTheGuru · 15/06/2012 09:55

I like the positivity. And remember: any symptoms are no symptoms!

Or diabetes... ;)

Kittenkatzen · 15/06/2012 10:09

Good morning ladies - just thought I'd stick my head in and see how you're all getting on :)

kick - omg you poor thing that sounds horrible :( glad you have a proper diagnosis now and concentrate on getting back on top form. You must be a machine to have been excersising and dtd like you were with your body in such a state!

echo and maclairey - are you really both still waiting for your AFs?? What a massive PITA for you. Are your bodies in secret competition with each other to see who can hold out the longest?!

I haven't read back over everything so if I've missed any BFPs then congratulations to all :):) Is pinkie still lurking? Hope she's doing ok too.

We're still in the same position as before - feels like it's been months since we decided to temporarily postpone ttc, but I think it's only actually been about 10 days!! Impatient much?!

Anyway, just popped in to say hi. Will keep lurking on this board to see how you're all doing, and will be back to join properly again soon I hope! :)

(Off topic PS.....nicola/queen did you manage to get your Muse tickets? I missed out on the ballot, then panic bought two seated tickets in the 9am presale - then somehow managed to get floor tickets in the general sale - get in!!! :o:o Hope you both were lucky too!)

Pinkie29 · 15/06/2012 10:25

kitten still lurking!! Grin

kick that sounds awful but thank god you got to the hospital in time and now have a diagnosis! Get yourself well and you'll be back on it soon!

I'm doing good got my mw app next Friday, had a maternity bra fitting yesterday as boobs huge and sore! Already gone up to a D! Otherwise had cramping on and off all week, felt queasy a few times but not actually been sick phew! Still testing haha!

KickTheGuru · 15/06/2012 10:31

Yay Pinkie!! Awesome to see your progress. Don't go anywhere!

Kitten - looks like we'll be back on the wagon at the same time. Are you guys back on contraception? They were trying to get me to go on the pill but I hate the pill. Rather wrap him up...

The doctors said the same thing. Apparently I was very sick. My temp was 32, they couldn't find veins or arteries, I had no potassium, no phosphate, low magnesium, vomiting all night on Sunday, sugar level was 36, couldn't breathe, BP was 150 / 120, HR was 120 and was in critical care until Wednesday. They said I was virtually in a coma so I shouldn't have been cycling or swimming or running. At least I know why I battled so much. That said, I also healed very quickly. I went from critical care to being able to be discharged so was lucky...

Kittenkatzen · 15/06/2012 11:34

Are you sure you're not part robot kick?! glad you're feeling better so quickly though. And happy to have some company on the wait to get back on it (so to speak :o)

No hormonal contraception for us - it was such a big step to come off the pill, and we hope not to be waiting too long so it seems like a bit of a backwards step iyswim. DH keeps mumbling about picking up "something ribbed for my pleasure" Hmm but in reality I think we're both happy with withdrawal for now.

pinkie so glad everything is going well for you!! Very exciting to see your updates, do make sure you keep us posted :)

DulcetMoans · 15/06/2012 14:55

Jeez kick, that is crazy! Such a relief to get a reason though I am sure. Hopefully it can all be sorted soon.

Big boobs already pinkie? That's a worry! They will be like footballs by the end!

What a strange collection of things we all pee in!! I have been hiding the test from DP too. Hopefully he will think the BFP one is the only one I did!

QueenOfTheDrama · 15/06/2012 16:36

Hi ladies - I'm still lurking too Wink waiting for you all to get your BFPs too before I leave for good Grin

kick omg you've been through so much this week! I'm sorry that it means you have to delay ttc for a little while but on the upside at least you finally have a diagnosis and the doctors can restore your health ready to grow a little baby.

Hope everyone else is well? Miss you guys!

Popinda · 15/06/2012 16:55

Queen how many days you were post ov when you got your bfp or vfp (very faint positive Grin) how you feeling? Any symptoms? Have you seen me yet?

Pinkie29 · 15/06/2012 17:10

Dulcet dp thinks it great cheeky bugger said 'will I finally get a tit wank?'

NicolaHazel · 15/06/2012 18:01

Bloody hell, kick, that's one hell of an awful time you've had. Says a lot about how healthy you were otherwise to keep going. Fingers crossed you're ready to start TTCing again soon.

And yes, kitten, I scored in the lottery for tickets. H2B didn't, but only needed one pair! Which are you off to?

Huge arguments with H2B about his lack of proactivity in job hunting today. Nightmare. No DTD going to happen here for a while!

Newbie2 · 15/06/2012 18:12

Hi ladies! Kick you poor thing! Brilliant that you're so fit to bounce back so quickly! You will be back TTC in know time I'm sure!

Update from me..saw really nice doctor lady this morning. Turns out I have a bad tummy bug! She laughed about my sausage rolls story and says it is very unlikely I gave myself food poisoning. She also told me to go back for blood test if there is no BPF in 2-3 months. After hearing that news I feel so much better as I've heard some friends have had to wait 6-12 months before going down that road.

She told me to keep testing with OV sticks. She also said that EPO won't shorten my cycles and she didn't know about Vitex. I was quite surprised about both of those pieces of advice! Perhaps I'll take my own view on how to make cycles shorter :) Anyway I came home and did OV test and I think I may be OV as test window was darker then it has ever been before! I will definitely be DTD this weekend!!

DulcetMoans · 15/06/2012 19:21

Haha, just another benefit of pregnancy for hubby then pinkie! Mines all full of romantic phrases like "do you want my seed tonight?" or "shall we put a sprog in there?". I'm so lucky!

DulcetMoans · 15/06/2012 19:22

Sorry, didn't mean to send that yet. Bloody phone!

Was just gonna say I'm glad you got some info from the docs newbie. Hope it puts your mind at rest for a while and gives you three more cycles to either get you BFP or check there's not a reason. Good result I'd say!

Pinkie29 · 15/06/2012 19:50

Who said romance was dead haha! Well dp told his mum tonight! She was very shocked as had no idea we were ttc but over the moon for us Grin

MissMedusa · 15/06/2012 21:31

Random mid cycle (CD16) spotting here which I've never had before that I know of. For a mad minute I thought it might have been implantation bleeding but upon researching, it's way too soon for that so it must be ovulation bleeding which would make sense as I'm due to ov (positive opk 2 days ago).

Anyone else get ovulation bleeding?

redstrawberry · 15/06/2012 21:47

evening All!

kick good to see you back! Sounds like you've had an awfully rough time! Glad to know the cause - suspected it was diabetes but didn't want to cause worry. Sorry you've had to stop ttc for awhile but at least when you start again after things are normal it might not take you long to get your long deserved BFP :)

redstrawberry · 15/06/2012 21:50

I think I'm def out for June - the bloody football is taking over TTC :(
Can't wait till its over - feel like screaming at the telly! He was earlier on the bog and even screaming whilst checking the score :-/
