Due to the luck thread starters have, I thought I'd mark a place for the second thread as we are so chatty!

Here's to BFPs for us all :-)

Oh Pop What a good question! I have no idea of an answer but sounds logical to me!

BB01 · 13/06/2012 16:07

Hi all and thanks for the welcomes :-) It is soooo nice and reassuring to know people are going through a similar thing - which makes it sound so dramatic when only just started ttc - it's more just a weird time rather than anything negative :-)

Yes, DulcetMoans, I am already trying to come up with things to say when people ask that won't make it sound like we're trying to but won't sound completely anti-baby!!

Popinda, just condoms. Condom-free sex for first time = amazing!!! How about you? (Have probably missed a massive thread on this issue - am brand new to these forums!).

Newbie2 · 13/06/2012 16:46

OK I've made a doctors appt for Friday morning. I'm still not right and I have not been able to eat a thing today. I am starting to think the problem might actually be something to do with AF not arriving as it is a coincendence that this started the day she should have appeared if I was on a 28day cycle. Now I've just got to decide whether I exaggerate my TTC length to the doctor. Perhaps I could get away with 6months!

NicolaHazel · 13/06/2012 18:03

Hi BB, welcome! :-)

And, Dulcet, I had a failed POAS incident with no line too a while ago. Very frustrating. I now PIATH (piss in a tealight holder) to use my internet cheapies! I like!

Newbie...when did you get your last pill prescription? That may give you away.

I'm on CD23 and not even feeling remotely pre-menstrual. Suppose it could kick in, but not sure about a 28 day cycle.

Apart from the ovary twinges I feel nothing really. Ho hum!

Hi BB welcome. TTC is sending us all slightly crazy. This is our release place. No one judges you and you can discuss baby related obsessions in private. If my DH knew half the stuff I discuss on here he'd run for the hills! My baby obsession is kept secret. Mwah ha ha

I had the implant currently on day 54 of a mammoth cycle! My first TTC. I want to be pg sooo bad!

DulcetMoans · 13/06/2012 19:26

Good to know Nicola! Was beginning to wonder if I should consider a baby if I can't even POAS right!! I am PIAPHC (piss in a promotional highlighter container) from now on!

Hope you get some answers from the docs newbie, even better hopefully the answer you want most - PG!!

Not sure how you long cycle ladies are coping. I couldn't cope with the not knowing when it will happen!!

EchoDragon · 13/06/2012 22:01

Dulcet you just made my day with your with your PIAPHC. :o

Newbie2 · 13/06/2012 22:17

Ok so I nearly passed out on my journey home from work because of these non stop cramps and backache so called my mum for her medical mother advice. She has many different versions but I think we've agreed that maybe I got food poisoning and also PMS cramps at the same time made worse by food poisoning. Only happy news I have is my CBFM has arrived woop woop! Oh and my amazon CB digi pregi tests. Might just test again in the morning so I'm 100% sure.

Asked mum if you get signs that you're pregnant straight away. She said no but you'll get itchy nipples after 6 weeks and they change colour. ITCHY nipples? This is news to me!

Newbie2 · 13/06/2012 22:20

Nicola uh I hadn't thought that one through! Perhaps I'll give GP a call tomorrow to find out when my last visit was. Could always say I didn't take the last pill packs in the end as we changed our minds and started TTC early...need to think this through more!

Newbie2 · 14/06/2012 04:07

Right so I've done a digital pregnancy test this morning. Clearly says BFN so I can rule pregnancy out for sure now. Perhaps I just can't remember how bad period pains are! It can't possibly still be food poisoning on day 4!

NicolaHazel · 14/06/2012 06:32

I think you need a trip to the GP anyway, Newbie, find out what's wrong. Hope you feel better soon.

OP posts:
Newbie2 · 14/06/2012 07:19

Nicola I think you're right and I'll probably just say 2 months otherwise they will get really confused by my symptoms.

Can anyone tell me how long their first real (post pill) AF cramps lasted before AF arrived? I think I might have forgotten how long they last! It says on NHS 12-24hrs before AF arrives.

Popinda · 14/06/2012 07:21

newbie sorry to hear that you still not better! I use to get cramps like that last year, for about three months and docs couldn't find anything! Apparently it was stress related as I started a new job! Good luck with your app, hopefully they will be more helpful!

BB I was on the pill for over nine years, stopped last August and been using condoms up until last last month when we suddenly decided that it would be good idea to have a baby. Grin I know what you mean when you say it was amazing to have first condom free hmm. Grin it was also my first ever unprotected hmm. Grin that how much I was trying to prevent getting pg! And now I can't wait! And it's just not happening! Sad (I'm exaggerating a bit Smile this is our second cycle of ttc)

LisaC2611 · 14/06/2012 07:27

newbie I've been having what I think are cramps for the last few days but no af yet, she's not meant to be due until next Tuesday, hope I haven't got to put up with this till then Angry would actually prefer af to come early this month, at least it means it won't ruin my holiday next week.

Told dh last night about the useful info I got from here about epo, so now going to convince him we need to use opks Grin

EchoDragon · 14/06/2012 08:00

Newbie think you definitely need to go see your GP.

I have ordered some Vitex on other people's advice to try and get my cycle under control.

Am considering EPO and opks. Lisa check out Amazon for cheapie opks.

DH may think I have completely lost it if I start using opks. Plus which I don't think it will help my PIAC addiction.

LisaC2611 · 14/06/2012 09:14

Thanks echo was going to have a look for some today which will hopefully arrive by the time we get back, which will give dh time to get used to the idea Grin

Newbie2 · 14/06/2012 10:35

Thanks everybody x Will go to docs tmz am. and let you know how it goes. Started taking Ibrupofen this morning which has softened the blow of the cramps...another tell tell sign that this is just pms and I'm over worrying about nothing. If I hadn't been so sick at the start of the week I would just be putting this down to AF's arrival.

Echo where did you buy Vitex from? I couldn't find it in Holland and Barrats yesterday

BB01 · 14/06/2012 11:19

Thanks all for the welcomes! It's so nice to hear others are in the same boat and to be able to tell somebody without it having negative repercussions!! DulcetMoans...yes just yesterday I had to get around it by saying 'oh there's no rush with starting a family'. Not lying exactly (I am a bad liar!!) is it??
Newbie2...hope you feel better - food poisoning is horrid :-(
Popinda, used just condoms before...how about you? I wonder if I am unusual in not having been on the pill/had an IUD etc... (Have probably missed a massive thread on this!).

BB01 · 14/06/2012 11:20

Oh my goodness - sorry - thought my first post hadn't worked! Now there's 2 worded slightly differently...eeek!

BB01 · 14/06/2012 11:24

EchoDragon, I hope it happens for you really soon. I'm glad you are finding it useful to be on this forum...the last time I really used forums was when I was planning my wedding and found it so useful apart from all the trolls!

Maclairey · 14/06/2012 11:29

Newbie I hope you get it sorted soon. Not sure about Echo but I bought my Vitex from Amazon. Day 54 for me today :(

How is everyone else?

Hi BB I also used wedding forums when planning my wedding last year. Although you are right, the trolls are very annoying.

DulcetMoans · 14/06/2012 11:31

haha BB, nevermind! I am a just condoms lady as well but I do think it's a minority. I haven't seen a thread confirming this but it's just what I think! It does mean though I haven't taken any notice of cycles lengths etc so when the ladies start talking about CD I get a little lost! Still, it's my first month TTC so I am sure I will get better at knowing.

Glad to know I can make someone happy EchoDragon! haha. Waiting on my cheapie stick delivery so I can try it all again!

NicolaHazel · 14/06/2012 12:15

Arrrggghhh...low back ache today :-(

Bad posture or gearing up to pre-menstrual? CD24 here. No emotional signs of ERTD yet though!!

OP posts:
NicolaHazel · 14/06/2012 12:33

Hmmm...and now maybe pre-menstrual cramps too. Ah well, would be good in a way to know I'll fully functioning post-pill.

Not like I was likely to get a BFP first month. :-(

OP posts:
Newbie2 · 14/06/2012 13:53

Nicola aww bless I know how you feel. Ok positives for us is we can relax this weekend and not obsessively POASOIRA (piss on any stick or in random objects), we can drink and eat what we like and we can have Ibrupofen! And TTC round two is just around the corner :)
