How long does it generally take to concieve after having the mirena removed. Has anyone had problems with conceiving having has the mirena removed. I had mine out 5 weeks ago!!

I there bootsmonkey, how long did it take for your periods to return after removal of mirena. I havent had one yet and i will be six weeks removed on friday. Any ifno would be grateful:)

This time round it was four weeks on the dot - have now decided on a three week cycle, unfortunately, but that is another story. First time round is a very distant and vague memory being pre-children and all, but I think it was pretty much all systems go from the off. If you are at all worried, I would ask you GP, but it could take a while to settle down...

I never had a period - I conceived straightaway, had a BFP six weeks after it was taken out (had it in for over a year with only two periods the whole time).

Thanks for that Rach69. I did a test on saturday & it came back negative. I have extremely sore boobs and I keep hoping that this is a sign that I might be pregnant and that the test was carried out to early.
