Test strips - accuracy?

I haven't posted here since my miscarriage this time last year. We have not been trying because it was getting too stressful and we're getting married in May. I had all the classic period signs last week - cramps, ravenous appetite but no period. So I've just done a test using a test strip left over from last year. I couldn't find the expiry date so assumed it was ok to use.

There are very definitely two lines at the bottom of the strip. Both pink. Both very obvious. Am I actually, really pregnant? I'm not sure whether to be happy or scared if that is the case. Anybody??

do one more, but i think you are, so congrats

I keep looking at the test strip and it's not even a faint line. It's a very dark line like the control line. I'm happy but scared at the same time. Having miscarried the last time and feeling all crampy this time.

I don't even know how pregnant I would be if I am pregnant. I need to get to the doctor's tomorrow and get a test done. Last time they said I needed to be seen straight away owing to my miscarriage last year.

I don't even know how to tell dp as we weren't trying. He'll be over the moon but there is the wedding and my dress!

if it helps you at all i can sympathise with mc and not knowing wether to be happy.
i am 3 months and i got 'period imminent' pains this time and all is well.

DP is away tonight and it's hardly something I should call him about. I will try to get into the doctor tomorrow morning and have it confirmed if nothing else. Then, I don't know. Will I go for an early scan owing to my miscarriage? I'll feel stupid if it turns out I'm not after spending the last few hours thinking I am. My last period that I remember happened mid-January. So how pregnant would that make me? Very early days, right?

I thought my gp would owing to my history but I'll buy one tomorrow and double check.

I'm still not sure the reality of all this has sunk in.

I've done another test this morning. Bought the clearblue digital one and within less than a minute it said pregnant. I'm guessing that means I am. I am terrified and happy at the same time. Booked an appointment to see my gp next Tuesday (earliest I could get in) and hopefully will go for a dating scan. My cycles are irregular at best but I think I had one in mid-January which is why I think the due date is around 23rd October.
