Hiya,

Im new to the site, been TTC since 29th Feb 2012 (thats when I got my implant removed) Nothing as of yet, finding it really hard to know about most fterile days etc as my AF had always been really irregular, since 29/02 I have had 2 AF's 6 weeks apart. Never realised how confusing it would all be! :)

Would you like any help? What are you trying regarding finding out when your fertile?

Steffmosis · 29/05/2012 21:05

Thanks! So far just been trying to work out how long my cycle is and stuff, considering buying ovulation tests but have read differing views on these!! X

Hi, I'm Faith. Welcome to the board! I think it's early days ttc wise and it often takes a while for bodies to settle down after having the implant. I'd advise against charting and OPKs to start with. They are useful but you can get a bit hung up on timing and obsessed with sex! if you use them. I'd advise trying to have sex three times a week, every week. Have a look at some ongoing threads like TTC #1 and the 'brook no argument', light hearted threads with people in similar positions. All the best ttc!

Aaw thanks very much for that! To be honest I think I was just getting a bit impatient and I need 2 just chill out about it for a wee while and fingers crossed for a BFB at some point this year! :)

Irregular cycles are frustrating! We're they a problem before you had the implant?
Yes try not to be too impatient believe me, I've been at this ttc lark for some time! 80% of couples conceive within a year, 90% within 18 months so there's no need to worry just yet! :)

They really are!! :) Yeah, I had 3 consecutive implants and before I had them my cycle was irregular, whilst on the implant i didnt really have one, which was good at the time, Not so much now!! :) Plenty of time, will def give it another while, its nice to speak to people and get reassurance!

Thanks

Welcome Steff. I stopped the pill the same day as you had your implant out.
And nothing for me so far either. And I'm after number one as well

There is a very friendly thread here.

I recommend charting, I use Fertility Friend. Best thing about that is that it has an iPhone app so you can update it in the morning when you take you temperature.

Hi Steff
Welcome to MN. I'm in a fairly similar position to you. Implant out May this year. So three weeks after out still no AF. But it's early days yet. I had periods whilst on it. But they were fairly irregular. Someone recommended I try Agnus Castus to kick start normal cycle. Am trying to hang on a bit longer and see if it happens naturally yet. Being patient does suck but fx things get back to normal soon.

Just realised that you were saying you had you implant out April this year. I stopped the pill April last year.
