Well the witch has caught up with me at last. So I have decided its time to start a new thread as I think our christmas reindeer need a rest.
So step aboard ladies and join me for a hunt for the golden egg.

I was watching that bbc4 series on women in the restoration period a few weeks ago and they said that people believed that orgasm was necessary for conception, so there was a lot of emphasis on making sure the woman climaxed! Apparently sex was very good for restoration women!

Have had my test results today and all looks normal, though my lh looks a bit low according to my research. It was 1.3 on cd4 and FSH was 5.7. The ratio should be closer to 1:1. Though am sure nurse will poo-poo that ifi bring it up on Thursday. Ho hum. Wonder what's really wrong with me then? Hmm

Squirrel - good luck tonight! :)

Treats and LLL - that thought which shall not be mentioned also crossed my mind not this past month but the one before.

Silent - your 'schedule' sounds good. Though I think I favor 9, 11, 13, 14 & 15. But I always worry about sperm counts not being optimal with too frequent action. Plus I get tired!

Treats · 26/06/2012 16:55

Hi - we're going away on Saturday. Just a few more days at work.......

I heard that about orgasm as well - and that piece on the restoration programme. I can't help but feel that we should make orgasm a goal of all sexual intercourse - ttc or not - and even if it doesn't improve our chances, it certainly improves our enjoyment.......

lbot - have you had your results today and have another appointment to discuss them? I can understand how you're feeling - sometimes you just want a diagnosis and then a course of treatment to 'fix' it. Finding out that there's nothing really wrong doesn't take you forward. Are you going to talk to the nurse about what causes your spotting?

Silent - lbot makes a good point. Your schedule will work if your DH has good swimmers, but if he's below par in any way then DTD every day might not work in your favour. You might be better off with every other day.

blackcatsdancing · 26/06/2012 17:28

i missed the restoration programmes, sounds good. wonder if its still on catch up?? I often do have an orgasm but not crucial to me . In fact for me i find focusing on it can start to cause problems with achieving it . I'm very good at taking one when i need to though! Luckily my preferred position for that is also very good for DP!!

lastbox i'm not sure where you got that info from? My LH was 4.6 (normal range 2.4-13) and FSH 9.2 (normal range 3.5-13). I spoke to Gp and she said all was fine and also did my own research which showed all was fine- FSH bit high but i'm older so is to be expected.

blackcatsdancing · 26/06/2012 17:31

p.s the normal range i quote was for the clinic my Gp use, the ranges will vary from place to place.

blackcatsdancing · 26/06/2012 17:32

i've not read that 1:1 ratio thing
p.s mine were done day 2

Rachstrawberry · 26/06/2012 18:40

Ho hum, out for this month Sad see you in july!

Pipbin · 26/06/2012 19:52

Oh Rach sorry to hear that. Just hang around here still though. Easter is a long time. I think even with today as CD1 it would still count as Easter.

Hi ladies

I'm out too :(. Just waiting for AF to rear her ugly head. Bit annoyed though as I got a blurry second line on an Internet cheapie but it lasted for about 10 seconds literally. I tested again a lot more and wasted my good first response test and absolutely nothing. Arse, arse, arse.

Crazytictac · 26/06/2012 20:22

And following from my "me, me, me" post Blush I hope you all are ok.

Bet you can't wait for Sat treats, bet it will be lovely just to escape this weather

lbot I fully agree with your post the other day. Hope your mum is ok too.

blackcats ditto regarding the big O if you are hell bent on achieving it

pipbin hope the 2ww is not driving you nuts

Waves to silent and all the other ladies

Crazytictac · 26/06/2012 20:23

Ps sending squirrel nice, strong, fertilisation and implantation vibes

Pipbin · 26/06/2012 20:27

Oh Tictac, that's bloody annoying. I'm 9dpo here, how about you? Not over until AF arrives!

OP posts:
lastboxoftampons · 26/06/2012 21:08

Oh, Tictac :( I'm sorry.

Blackcats - you want me to actually cite a real true and accurate internet source for my ifno Wink Actually, I found it while reading through some mumsnet threads when I searched Low LH. I think the big concern with the ratio is if your LH is greater than your FSH, which is an indicator or PCOS. If it's less than FSH, maybe they consider it normal whatever it is? I also found this website where you can plug in all of your info, include hormone test results, past pregnancies, pelvic surgeries, etc and this doctor in Bombay (!) gets back to you with his take on your fertility. It says he'll answer within two days, but he got back to me within a half hour. Who knows how legit it is, but he said my LH is fine but I should have HSG done and that time is at a premium for me! I'm guessing that's down to my age. No pressure, then...!

Treats - I have an appointment for a smear, which I couldn't do last month because I stupidly scheduled it for when my AF was likely to start. So I figure I will corner her on the spotting discussion front and push her for a scan to check for fibroids. Considering a private consultation. Hope you have a lovely holiday. Heading anywhere nice?

Rach :( Stay here. Unless we're all too miserable for you! Wink We're a sorry lot these days!

Pipbin · 27/06/2012 07:22

Well 10dpo here now. Had spotting during my run and a big drop in temp today, which is either an implantation dip or AF on her way.
What do you think?

Crazytictac · 27/06/2012 07:36

I'm 14 DPO today pipbin. Hope one of the knowledgeable charters cans comment on your chart.

How random about the doctor in Bombay lbot. :) What would we do without the Internet?!

blackcatsdancing · 27/06/2012 07:54

hmm don't know pipbin. i chart but am not an expert. i know one temp alone is said to mean nothing so maybe try not to read too much into it? if its early for AF to start tomorrow then i'd say it looks like implantation dip but could also be nothing.

lastbox doctor in Bombay over the internet?? i cant tell you how dodgy that sounds but i do know that doctors often comment on women's questions in some forums in the US so might be ok. you could start your own thread and see if anyone from MN can answer?

Leftwingharpie · 27/06/2012 08:02

Pipbin we won't know until tomorrow. My bbt plummeted at 9dpo and then shot up again the next day.

Pipbin · 27/06/2012 17:29

I get the feeling that AF is on her way.
More spotting after a bowel movement. This time it had a bit of red in it
I feel like she's coming.

Where have you all gone Easter ladies?

OP posts:
Rachstrawberry · 28/06/2012 00:59

Still here! Im crossing my fingers and toes that AF stays away for you... Have just ordered conceive plus has anyone heard much about it?

Leftwingharpie · 28/06/2012 07:00

Morning Pipbin and Rachstrawberry! Did you temp this morning Pipbin? Any more spotting?

Pipbin · 28/06/2012 07:18

Well, temp right back up this morning. Tiny bit of spotting but not much.
Chart here: www.fertilityfriend.com/home/Pipbin

Rach. I used conceive plus for the first time this month. I bought the pre loaded applicator rather than the tube.
I never normally use stuff like that but it seemed ok. I guess we'll have to wait until Sunday to see if it made any difference.

OP posts:
Leftwingharpie · 28/06/2012 07:38

Well it's as good as it can look.

Crazytictac · 28/06/2012 07:41

Howdie, still here too.

No AF yet so 15 DPO. I'm sure I had a long luteal phase last month so suspect this is going to be the same. Im pretty I ovulated as fertility monitor is supposed to be pretty accurate. Gah.

How are you feeling leftwing?

pipbin I don't know how you do your running. I'm always knackered even after full night sleep.

Hello to all the other ladies

blackcatsdancing · 28/06/2012 07:48

is conceive plus the same as pre-seed then? a fertility friendly lubricant?

blackcatsdancing · 28/06/2012 07:49

p.s pipbin chart looks promising
