So step aboard ladies and join me for a hunt for the golden egg.

Lastbox- doh! I'm still a bit new to this so not so sure about all that stuff? Was the blood bright red like fresh blood or darker? Have you had any more? Is it possible it may be a little tear (TMI- I've had to lecture DP in past about keeping edges of finger nails smooth).

Lime- 7 weeks till scan time, hopefully it'll be here before you know it! It'll all seem real then Grin

Pipbin- I wasn't at all offended, more curious. I hadn't even heard of cbfm until my friend who was ttc for ages (over 30 months) told me that she fell really quickly after she got one (I think it was 3 or 4 months, her husband has low oo, sperm count too). I was just wondering if women who use them had a certain reputation. I'm a bit time stressed because of all my medical problems but I think if anything having to interpret opk/ temp/ chart seems much more stressful as requires far more attention and guesswork. On the cost side of things, it's not cheap but for me, if someone said 'Give me £500 and you'll get pregnant quicker' I'd happily dish it out if it was backed by proper research etc. But as I said, we have reason to hurry. Also, I find we dtd when we want to much more as only two peak days a month so even though there's a better chance if you do it on high days too, we just make sure we do it on the peak days and then suit ourselves the rest of the time which, I feel, makes it more spontaneous. Obviously depends on your hurry/ circumstances but it works for us.

Crazy- Give them a ring! It's getting value for money and peace of mind if nothing else. I had to poas from day 5-25 so I had to poas on peak day and for about 5 days after. Only my first cycle on it so no idea what next month holds.

Squirrel- yay! to holiday and booooo! to af, I assume from your post it will be gone by the time you're on your jollies? That is rubbish about the hospital, grrr to NHS at times. I hope for you you fall before then as I know loads of people say that happens... I truly hope you're one of those.

Feeling a bit zen here: totally aware period is coming (if I were a betting lady I'd say tomorrow morning), but because I've had a week of symptoms I feel somehow mentally prepared. Feel like it's nature letting me down gently rather than the harsh brutality of a bfn. I know I dtd at the right times this cycle so what else can you do? Hey hum and onwards to the next one. A bit sad as thought had wonderful it would be to tell dp on father's day but it's just not our month.

Hope you guys are all well Smile

Crazytictac · 14/06/2012 07:26

Oh lbot did say in my original post that spotting might very well be a consequence of all the extra DTD ing. Prob nothing to worry about but for peace of mind I would mention it to your GP

Treats · 14/06/2012 09:24

Hi there - sorry I've not been around much recently but glad you're all still here.

Wiggy - I agree that the cbfm seems like a really good option for you. I'm seriously considering it for next month as it seems to rationalise all the other things I'm doing into one activity. Fx that it's the only month you'll need it can I have it when you've finished Grin

Squirrel - sorry that AF got you but I hope you have a wonderful holiday. DH and I are going away in a few weeks - our first proper holiday since losing DS - and I'm hoping it will mean a real opportunity to relax, to spend time together and hopefully get over the last few months. And hopefully put us in a better place for ttc.

FF tells me that I ov'd on Monday, which is what I thought. Thankfully - despite all the disruption - we managed to DTD on Sunday evening, so I'm not totally out this month. Still got low temps though, so not feeling very optimistic.

LimeLeafLizard · 14/06/2012 09:47

Squirrel sorry AF got you.

On CM - the month we conceived, I had hardly any EWCM, and that was about 4 days before I ovulated. Hope this gives you some encouragement.

Pipbin · 14/06/2012 21:01

Still waiting on OV here. Poor old DH is still plugging away bless him.
OPK still negative and not getting any darker. Still getting a fair amount of EWCM. It's CD17 and my average OV day is CD20, but the last two have been CD18

Wiggy29 · 14/06/2012 21:11

Bfn over here but feel ok as was totally expected.hopefully next month more fruitful. Hmm

SilentMammoth · 14/06/2012 21:39

Oh Wiggy that's a bit rubbish. Has AF turned up yet though? Didn't you think she was going to have done by now?

*Squirrel" glad your appointment went OK, sounds really annoying though that they won't consider treating you now Hmm

Pip, I think that the continuation of ewcm sounds really promising.

Treats, are you and your DH going anywhere nice? You deserve a really nice break.

It's raining like mad where I am. Our ducks, hens and quail were looking most cheesed off when I went to shut them in. Night all!

Pipbin · 14/06/2012 21:51

Silent- no, no af but knew it was imminent so tested&got predicted result. Not feeling anywhere near as down as I thought I would be, just ready to go for next cycle& happy to know I'm dtd at right times so doing all I can.

Pipbin- we are aren't we? I've got my fx that you lot will snatch up some bfp action this month. Nice to have lll around to remind us that it does happen.

Really exciting promotion come up at work, application due Wed& interviews fri, plus a billion yr 7 reports to write so mind is very occupied at this end which is good.

Going to invest in some B6 this month to help things along, do I remember rightly that somebody said it's better to buy a 'complex' then have it alone? Anyone recommend a good brand/ place to get it?

Pipbin · 14/06/2012 23:45

Wiggy I have switched from B6 to a complex.
I found that B6 on its own did nothing but I took 100mg B Complex this month and found that I had less spotting and a longer LP.
Just from Holland and Barrett, nothing special.

OP posts:
Treats · 15/06/2012 09:08

Hi - just 4DPO here so nothing exciting to report. Temps have been following same pattern as last few cycles though - relatively low temps immediately post-ov followed by a steep rise a few days later. I had a much higher temp today so I think that's what's happened. Must look up my TCOYF - I remember she says something about a stair step rise - I wonder if that's significant in any way.

Off to sit an accountancy exam in a few minutes. It's going to be a real horror, but I'll be relieved when it's over. The last few weeks have been so busy, it'll be good to get back to a bit of downtime.

Silent - we're just off to Brittany. It'll be a proper change of scene - no sitting around watching telly in the evenings - but we can go in the car which is a lot easier with DD. Fingers crossed for some good weather so that we can go to the beach......

Treats · 15/06/2012 09:10

Oh Wiggy - I forgot. I'm so sorry about your BFN. Glad you're feeling philosophical about it and have things to take your mind off it. One advantage of a BFN before AF is due is that at least it 'breaks your fall' when AF does arrive. How many DPOs were you? Guess you'll be needing to hang onto your CBFM after all......

lastboxoftampons · 15/06/2012 10:37

Treats so strange, I've been having a similar issue past few months. Temp kind of lw immediately following ov then a steep rise for second half of LP...I went from 97.60 to 98.17 this morning tho didn't sleep particularly well last night with DS waking due to the pox. Now I'm 3dpo and already feel incredibly pms-y and have some spotting. Just ha my cd19 blood test this morning and picked up the cd3 results which were all normal. I jut wish I knew what was wrong with my body :(

So sorry about your BFN Wiggy :(

blackcatsdancing · 15/06/2012 10:55

wanted to share my good news. I'm 12 DPO and got a very faint positive today. I'll test again in 2 days. Am veering between feeling very happy and absolutely terrified. I'll hop onto the over 40s thread as i have issues due to age and increased risk of MC- my due date is days after my 45th birthday.
Good luck to everyone on here.

blackcatsdancing · 15/06/2012 11:02

p.s my supplement regime for anyone interested was 50mg vit B6, pregnacare conception, royal jelly, coenzyme Q10, folic (extra), Vitamin D, vital DHA (contains DHA/EPA with some zinc). I'm hoping the fact that i have been taking supplements for well over 6 months now will help in getting a good egg.

lbot, sounds really irritating in a way that nothing was picked up.

Got cross hairs on FF today, so officially 3dpo like lbot. Ho hum.

Purpledragon · 15/06/2012 11:39

Congrats again blackcats.

Me three at 3 dpo today.

Dillydollydaydream · 15/06/2012 11:56

Congrats blackcats hope all goes well

Sorry for your bfn Wiggy :(

Is anyone else still waiting to test?
I was going to test tomorrow, Im 2 days late now but daren't test incase it's bfn. Plus I'd feel silly for even considering I mighy actually be pregnant. I might just be late due to AF not being regular yet after mc?

If I had tests in the house I would have poas already but because I need to get some in especially it's making think I should wait. Argh, hate not knowing though!

LimeLeafLizard · 15/06/2012 12:55

blackcats Grin, that is FANTASTIC news. Well done, after all those moments of doubt about your age, too. It is funny because I know you didn't jump threads with us, did you have an inner sense that you would have a Feb baby?! I know you're going on the over 40s thread, but still hope to bump into you on the pg board or indeed over here. Best of luck xxx

Wiggy, sorry about your BFN but glad you aren't feeling too low.

Good luck testing Dilly!

Crazytictac · 15/06/2012 13:34

blackcats :) huge congratulations! Brilliant news. I was wondering about you this week as hadn't 'seen' you on this thread. So pleased for you!

squirrel I'd be cross too, must be frustrating. Your holiday may work its magic though. Hear of so many babies being conceived on holiday, must be to do with the relaxation. Good luck!

wiggy glad you're feeling ok. Never nice to see a BFN but at least you were sort of prepared for it. Good luck with applying for the promotion, keep us posted!

dilly this limbo stage is horrible! Esp if you don't know exactly where you are. FX.

As for me, best guess is 1 DPO. I called the clearblue helpline, lady said I def should not have used sticks from different boxes or results won't be reliable. I'm just going to consider myself as having ovulated though going on past cycles Confused.

blackcatsdancing · 15/06/2012 15:03

thanks everyone. It doesn't feel at all real yet but was nice going for a walk today and thinking to myself 'i'm pregnant'- there's a saying on some threads on MN - "today i am pregnant", it's about taking it one day at a time and enjoying the moment rather than endlessly worrying about what might happen.

limeleaf i had a really good feeling about february and i didn't want to jinx it by moving . I was determined to get my February baby and moving onto one saying Easter just didn't feel right. I felt i was pregnant this month- not physically (though i've had an odd taste in my mouth the past 2 days and am already off tea which i usually drink almost non-stop) , it was a mental thing. I had a vivid dream about living under water and once when crouching down in the kitchen to pick something up i just got the strongest feeling "i'm pregnant". Both these things occured before implantation would have taken place so technically i wasn't yet pregnant but fertilisation would have . Odd as i'm not really into all that "i knew at the moment of conception" stuff, could have just been wishful thinking, who knows?

wiggy i took Holland and barrets B6 and it worked for me- to increase CM, my luteal pahse was ok. However my acupuncturist- well the woman i've seen twice (including once this cycle just before ovulation ) didn't rate H&B vits and said solgar or any vitamins that Neal's Yard sell- i think they mainly stock viridian. Completely up to the individual how much they are prepared to pay. I used to take Zita west's preconception vits but the past 2 months its been pregnacare as i couldn't keep shelling out that sort of money.

Pipbin · 15/06/2012 16:12

Yay for Blackcats.

Still no positive OPK! DH still plugging away.
Just a matter of time I guess.

blackcats It's 10 days since my BFP and reality is only just starting to sink in. Takes a while when you've got used to the rhythm of ttc. Wow - dreams and premonitions! Strange, the logical part of my brain always wants to find a reason to explain things like that, but sometimes there isn't an explanation. Either way, a good result.

Hope we start to get more bfps now.
