Hi
I am just looking for some advice and whether it was possible that I could have been pregnant last week as my circs are a bit unusual.
brief history. I have one child, conceived v.easily 3 years old. Got pregnant when he was 1, again v.easily (2nd month of trying) unfortunatley had a miscarriage at 7 weeks, was devastated. That was 19 months ago and have been ttc since with no succeess at all. Had a laparoscopy 4 months ago and they found a blocked tube (unable to unblock it), unable to say when from and also whether other one also damaged but they thought it looked ok. most likely possibility of infection after mc.
This month I started to get my hopes up as around day 20 I started to get the symptoms I had had with previously pg (I know this sounds ridiculously early but I had insomnia, feeling sick and loss of appetite). However the main symptom I was clinging onto was that my boobs are always sore from 7 days before my period are due and every month for the last 19 months i have known I am not pregnant before my period even arrives. This month for the first time since my last pg there was no pain. However on day 25 I started bleeding and it was a bit of a strange period. I was out of the country on business and not able to get a pg test until day 31, by which time my period was over and it was negative. My symptoms also all stopped around day 29.
Is there any chance that I could have been pregnant as although I was pretty upset last week it would give me a glimmer of hope that my other tube might be ok and I can get pregnant again?? After 18 months ttc I am finding it pretty hard coping and although I know I am so lucky to have an amazing child already I would just love to complete my family with another child. Would the test be negative already (after my last mc at 7 weeks it was positive for over a month after as I kept having to check it as there were concerns of it being ectopic).
My consultatant has given me 6 months to keep trying then we need to decide whether to go down the ivf route.
Thank you for any help.
