Someone else pregnant with your egg and sperm

I'm very sorry for what everyone is experiencing at the moment.

Just musing - has anyone gone down the route of a gestational carrrier? Quite a detached term for someone who is wonderful and generous enough to be pregnant with your egg and partner's sperm. Obviously emotions and costs are part of all this.

Would be interested to know what your opinions are and if you know anyone who has done it?

Hi there, we've moved this thread to Conception, as we think it's more appropriate there. Thanks.

I know a couple who have done it, though it was two men so the egg was obv from a third party.

I know someone who's done it twice. COTS is the institution to approach.

It cost £30k per baby though - IVF, plus private delivery, plus the expenses for the surrogate. Not for the poor, or the faint-hearted.
