Hi folks im new here. my story so far is i went on the pill at 17 due to horrible periods and was eventually diagnosed with pcos. Came off the pill in feb this year and had normal 27 day cycles ever since. been dtd very regularly but still no bfp. :-( just wondering if any of you have had similar experiences with cilest and how long did it take you to get your bfp?

Hi,

I had awful problems coming off cilest. It took us 15 months to get our BFP and around 9 months for my periods to return at all. I also have POCS and had been using Duo Fertility to manage my irratic cycles. I was told that the pill can take up to 12 months to get out of your system but if you have only been trying since Feb, 4 months is no time at all. The standard guidelines state that most people will fall pregnant within 12 months of trying. Measuring your basal body temperature will confirm when you are ovulating.

Good luck, and I hope you get your BFP very soon. TTC is a really stressful journey, I am sure most women will sympathise with how you feel x

Hi, I have used cilest over the last 10 yrs. first time ttc I got af straight away after coming off it and got pg after 4 mths. Second time ttc it took 3 mths for af to return but got pg a mth later. Third time ttc got af straight away and then nothing for 4 mths and got pg 2 mths after that but sadly had a mmc. I don't know if that helps or sheds any light.
