Vit B6, dizziness and other side effects

Hi all. Just wondered if anyone else has had this. I've been taking 52mg vitamin B6 supplements daily in the morning for a week or so. The last four days I've been feeling dizzy, starting early afternoon and going on into the evening. Have also noticed feeling sick and slight tingling in my mouth, ankles, feet and a fairly hefty headache.

I though I just had a cold coming but today thought maybe it's the B6, as that's all that's changed. Anyone else had similar side effects?

I've heard of that sort of thing as a side effect of high dose B6 but not experienced it myself. I've been taking 100mg a day for about a year.

I think those side effects are associated with much higher levels of B6 but it could just be that you are sensitive to it? Have you tried maybe cutting them in half to see if the side effects subside?

Thank you. I'd read up on the dose and thought it was only above 100mg that people started having side effects as well, and more like 500mg. I'm going to stop taking the 50mg and just take the complex, which is 100% RDI, 2mg. I only thought of the relationship today after I'd already taken it, but just wondered if others had had similar.

I had a metallic taste and bizarrely my mouth felt massive. I also couldn't stop yawning. Gave up in the end! I started taking magnesium instead. Helped with the hormone balance without the weird side effects!
