Clear Blue digital tests - are they reliable or not worth the pee they're covered in?

AF due tomorrow but felt VERY sick all day yesterday so I did a sneaky little test this morning to see if my gut feeling was right and I was pg. According to the boffins at Clear Blue, I'm not. They say if is first urine of the day then testing up to 4 days before AF will give an accurate result, and I'm pathetically impressed by Science, so I believe them Blush.
But I'm still finding it really hard to shake that gut feeling (though today i'm not nauseous at all.)

Anyone have experience of ClearBlue digital tests, and are they amazing, shit, or somewhere in between?

Hi Emerald the digital ones are not as sensitive, so you need a higher concentration of HCG to get your positive. I'd try holding out for a few more days, or try a more sensitive pink dye one like a girt response or a Superdrug own brand. Hope that helps, good luck Smile

NOBODY TOLD ME THIS!!! Why didn't the Ministry of Pregnancy send me an email or something?

Thanks NoMaybeAboutIt, I honestly didn't know that about digi tests... now of course I am tempted to run up to chemist and do another sneaky test tomorrow morning. But that way madness lies, obviously. Will just hold off and see if AF comes tomorrow (cue fresh wave of crashing disappointment) and if not then will do as you suggest...

I got a positive on cheapy ebay test days before the digital one. Wish I'd believe the cheap one and saved the money I spend on the digital ones.

Thanks champagneforlunch, that's good to hear and congrats!
Obviously now I'm all hopped up on false hope again, making the inevitable crash come later but worse... Wink

I'm not usually (quite) this insane!

I tested on a digital got negative so 4 days later on the day of my period being due i got a cheap on got a faint + so waited few more days and did another digital so i could see it in writing.

I have found that digital ones work best on period due or late.

I have always got results after my AF is due! The day of it or 2 days late! My recent pregnancy I did a cheap the day I was late, got faint line so got my double pack of digi cb and in writing it said pregnant then flashed 1-2 weeks!!!! Was in shock!!!!!!! Took picture and sent to my sister who screamed with joy!!!!! DH couldn't believe it. Then after a week or so did it again after my cheapys showed stronger line and then it turned to 3+
I guess it depends on when it's done, the later the better!!
