long story. i have been preg and bf 2 separate children for a total of 5 yrs and had my 1st period in jan which was like tar and has gone on since with constant pain in my left side however 2wks ago turned red like normal but light period and finished last thurs. in this time i have been seeing gp, has swabs done, bloods, smear etc and all normal. im on he mini pill but have missed 1 here and there. this morning i fel so sick i did a test and got a faint positive line but i have done 2 more tests today which have been negative. am i pregnant or not arrgghhh! can anyone help.

Did you see the line within the alloted time? I would say, if so, you are very likely pregnant! You could be pg but only very early days so would only show up on a test with FMU (first morning urine), that is why the other tests were neg. Did you do another test this am? If not hold on if poss and do one with a sensitive test (first response early response or superdrug own brand or sensitive internet cheapie) tomorrow morn.

hi thanks for your reply. the test yesterday morning came up with 2 lines straight away but ive done a clear blue digital this morn and it spelt it out to me NOT PREGNANT. feel like im grieving now for a baby that was never there.:(

clear blue tests, particularly the digi tests, are not very sensitive. It does seem like a bit of a confusing time seeing as it seems you would not have known when you ovulated, but would say you probably are pg but very early days and only some tests are picking up the hormone? Do another tests tomorrow, first thing, ideally with a FRER and see what it says I reckon.
