Hi ladies, do any of you take these?

I'm trying to regulate my 43 day cycle and produce more ewcm. I've read you should only take epo up until you ov as can cause tiny contractions? Is this right? Also would I stop the ac after ov?

Last question hue much is best to take? I'm taking 2000mg of each throughout the day but have read of others taking more? Slightly confused any advice appreciated thank you :)

Pinkie

Self medicating with Agnus castus is not without problems as it can make hormonal imbalances worse. If you want to use this, I would seek the advice of a properly qualified medical herbalist.

Usually hormonal imbalances are to blame for consistently long cycles if these are what you have; blood tests can be done to see if PCO or problems with the thyroid gland are present.

I've had a scan and the ovaries didn't show any cysts only thing they found was a small intramural fibroid in the left wall said it shouldn't interfere, we're on cycle 4 after nearly 6 months ttc our first

Hi Pinkie, I take both AC and EPO and have done for a few months now, whenever I see a post on this I always reply as they've helped me a lot! :-) My cycles sound like they were very similar to yours and seemed to be getting longer every month, so I researched lots about AC and came across EPO aswell. They have worked absolute wonders for me, but I know for some they don't, I just self medicated and thought it was worth a try! My cycles are now roughly 29/30 days which is amazing for me, I also now ovulate much earlier and have noticeably more EWCM. I buy AC and EPO from holland&barrat, I take 3000mg of EPO and 1600mg of AC as instructed on the bottle, half after breakfast, half after dinner.

HTH! x

Thanks robin, I've read loads and dies sound amazing but just a little unsure about when to stop? To you take both throughout your cycle or stop the epo after ov and carry on the ac until your period?

Sorry pinkie I was meant to add that! I stop them both once I've ovd and then start both back up on CD1, I read somewhere that AC wasn't advisable in early preg aswell so just to be on the safe side, hope it works for you! :-)

Hi pinkie I also use both, and have done for about 3 months now. I used the AC to try and increase my luteal phase (as was very short about 10 days) and it has after a couple of months increased it, of course that could be a coincidence but I don't think so. I take EPO first half of the month only as it can be dangerous in early pregnancy I think however I take the AC all cycle because I think it takes a while to work and I understand is only potentially dangerous in pregnancy if taken for more then 3 months - if I get BFP will definitely stop both.
Not so sure the EPO works for me but am sticking with it for now.

Second RedRobin's warning - be v careful about when you take Agnus Castus. It's not good to take if there is any chance you might be pregnant. I would see a good, experienced homeopath though to find out which if any hormonal imbalance you need to address.

Pinkie29 · 12/05/2012 20:11

Yeah I think that's a good idea latsia, thanks robin and christelle very helpful Smile

I started AC for the first time a few months ago - took it until Day 10 of cycle, then stopped. No side effects - and pregnant first month of taking it. Had been trying for a while, could be coincidence, but who knows? Sadly ended in mc just before 10 weeks, but I'll be taking it again if I ttc in the future. Everything I've read suggests you do stop taking it at ovulation to be on the safe side.
