I was after a bit of advice about B6.

I was told that could help extend my LP by up to a couple of days. so i started taking 100mgs daily last cycle. and it did very helpfully turn my 10day LP into a 12 day one. Unfortunately the witch arrived.

The AF which followed was a dream compared to my usual AF! only 4 days of bleeding and next to no cramps, compared with the usual 10days of heavy flow and cramping in places where i didnt even know i had places!

I have continued to take the B6... but now i read it can delay ov. :( its already on or around cd22.

Any advice? can it delay Ov?... was kinda hoping it was some kind of miracle tab that would give me a pain free 28 day cycle with a neat ov at cd14! lol

From what i have read and been told you need to take a vitamin b supplement with all the vitamin b's in as they need to be balanced out. I dont know about it delaying ovulation. Have you thought about taking a pregnacare vitamin which has all the other vitamins in as well ?

I take B6 and also found that my luteal phase got longer. It hasn't delayed my ovulation at all and I have never heard of that happening, but everyone is different! Are you normally very regular?

not at all regular. BC usually reigns it in makes it around 5wks in total (give or take a few days) - but then with each cycle of ttc, my follicular phase gets longer and longer, and my luteal phase gets shorter and shorter. last time we ttc'd i went for tests (had 21 day one done - but hadnt ov'd at that point) and was on waiting list for treatment.

I was just trying to avoid it happening again, being 39 i dont have time to lose!

I've been taking 100mg of B6 and this month, and most of last month, my OV looks like it's heading this way a week earlier than normal.
However I have been taking that along with a vitamin b complex.
