Strange period?

So my DH and I have been TTC for about a year. Had a MC in Oct and since then no more luck.

This month I felt pg but since MC have stopped myself testing early. AF was due on Friday, had spotting on Wednesday so resigned myself to AF. Thursday morning was still just spotting, then 'normal' flow Thursday pm, back to spotting Friday and yesterday only brown when I wiped.

Has anyone had this? Any idea what is going on?

i had that last cycle.
Brown spotting, then red normal looking stuff, then brown spotting again, then a day of nothing and finally AF.
