Quick question for those that temp

Morning, my flipping themometer went haywire this morning and wouldn't take a reading. I think I'm about to ovulate too - CD15 - so really cross I won't have a proper reading for today. Do I just leave a blank or is there any point in trying to get another reading at some point during the day? This is my first month of temping so don't have much to go on... Off to order another themometer!

Leave it blank - taking it later will be misleading iyswim :)

Agree, it has to be first thing or it won't count. Can you get hold of an ovulation test and check your cervix/ EWCM for some additional data? This will help if you miss a day's reading.

Yep just leave it blank - and a big tip for temping is to try to keep in mind that individual temperatures aren't in themselves really important - you'll always have a couple that go haywire for no reason and you can drive yourself mad obsessing over what they mean. The useful info from temping is what patterns emerge from lots of temps taken over time, if that makes sense.

Agreed, you'll prob get a good enough idea from tomorrow's temp, if you manage to get a new thermometer in time that is!

My temps normally go up and stay up after OV and my CM dries up, but this month I had a shift after OV, then it went steadily down each day until 5DPO when it dipped below the coverline. It's up to that first post-OV temp now so I'm getting quietly excited. I've also had gross, obscene amounts of EWCM until today which is most unusual. Just wondering if anyone reckons this is a good one for convincing myself I'm preggers?
