How many of you DTD when you're not in your fertile period?!

On average we have sex 3 times a week regardless of where we are in cycle and up our game during the fertile period. I'm baffled how couples manage everyday and every other day throughout the cycle it's impossible for us due to work :/ plus to me that would be boring as anything and lose all spontaneity

We just DTD whenever we feel like it. Not really sure when I'm fertile to be honest

pinkie if you have sex 3 times a week, and as you imply that it spontaneous I'm assuming its not once on sat and twice on sun, how is that significantly different from every other day?

And in answer to the OP, we DTD at other times but do concentrate on my fertile time

Yep we do, it's the best time to have proper fun! Fertile days sex is a bit business like :/

"saving it up" is not best practice, sperm-wise.

When we were ttc we dtd about every 3 days on average; but more like every 1-2 days in the first 2, 3 or 4 weeks (I have long cycles) and then more like every 4-5 in the fortnight after ovulation. We did aim to hit every or most days of the most fertile 3-4 days just before ovulation though.

We had a very good hit rate with conception but a) I lost a couple early (about 5 weeks) and b) almost as soon as I'm pregnant I am sick, which rapidly becomes hyperemesis and has put pay to all sex for weeks and weeks and weeks.

What I noticed though was that our "ttc" pattern wasn't actually that different from our "tta" pattern. I think if you are not on the pill it is natural to want/have sex most in the run-up to ovulation anyway. So I think if we had just stopped using contraception without knowing anything else about my cycle the result would probably have been pretty similar.

beedlethebard its just an average we don't stick to specific days it might be a Monday morning Thursday evening Sunday morning just depends when we're in the mood.

I can't see how 'we want a baby so will have sex every other day' is in any way spontaneous.

Erm no. Must work on it! Usually we are two knackered!
