How long to positive opk?

Hello

I had an ultrasound on Monday which showed a dominant follicle at 15mm. It had grown 3mm in three days (so would be around 19/20mm by now if it kept growing at the same rate).

My opks are still negative. Almost got positive this morning and then went away again..

When am I likely to get a positive opk? Am getting through a lot of pee sticks... Am I being ridiculously impatient??

I've never had any. I think it may be because my LH surge is not strong enough or too short. My blood tests say I did ovulate 2 months I didn't get an opk though - they just don't work for everyone unfortunately. Don't panic and SWI!

I don't get any if I do them in the morning (like pregnancy tests), midday is better for OPKs, the surge happens then usually

Normally I wouldn't stress, but we're hoping to do an embryo transfer this month on my natural cycle, so I really need to know when I'm going to ovulate..!!

I never got a positive either even though at scan they could see I was about to ovulate and I must of done as will be 33 weeks pregnant tomorrow so think they may be a bit hit and miss

The tests do work for me-I've had positives for the last few cycles. I'm just more concerned to know when my surge is likely with that size follicle. Otherwise I'm getting very anxious that it's not happening!

Last month I had a follicle tracking scan on Friday which showed 2 17mm follies. I got positive OPKs on Sunday and Monday and my temps indicate that I ovulated on Monday.

Could you have caught the surge on the way down this morning? It would be about right in terms of follie size based on your last scan. I was told to do 2 per day to time IUI to make sure I caught it (although when I have previously used OPKs I have always managed to catch it using one a day but I guess they wanted as much notice as possible).

I'm pretty sure I haven't missed it: I was doing opks on Tuesday and there were lines but definitely no positive. Also I normally get two dad of positives and o on the second day and that hasn't happened (still got fertile bum snot, still high soft cervix).

And there was no line at all with fmu today. Nada. Not even a faint one. Really hate my body sometimes..
