Sorry for the moan, but I need to rant. I came off the Depo injection in December 2010. My periods returned the following July but I am now having one every two weeks. I finally went to the Doctor in Jan who sent me for some blood tests. These came back ok. I then had to wait 3 weeks for a scan, again, this came back ok. She then said she would need to refer me to a Gynae (not sure if that is how you spell it) so I waited a week to get my referal password, booked my appointment for the 2nd May and waited 6 weeks for the day to arrive. I then came home yesterday from work to a letter from the Hospital, cancelling my appointment. AAAARRRGGHHH

So I rang them up to ask why. Apparently my G.P wrote in the referal letter that I may have some fertility problems so now I have to see the infertility Gynae and not the normal Gynae. I was told I will need to wait while the specialist reads my notes and says if she will see me (?) and then they would ring me.

I feel like I am constantly waiting for something when all I want to do is ttc. Plus I am fed up with having two periods a month!!

Sorry for long post, rant over.

Sad only advice is keep ringing, Ime the more you pester the quicker the nhs move. Rubbish but true.

I'm sorry, your having troubles!

Personally I think GP's are a bit shit anyway these days. But yeah, I agree with keep ringing!

Thanks ladies, will ring again if I haven't heard in a week.

Yikes! Yes, definitely keep ringing them.

Do you know if/when you're ovulating, out of interest?

nutty123 · 02/05/2012 19:33

I've been told that it's highly unlikely that I'm ovulating at all!

This is a hospital muck up by the sound of it. You could ask GP to expedite appointment

nutty123 · 02/05/2012 21:19

Hi Bugsylugs, what does expedite mean?

Sorry I did not reply earlier ask them to write and move the appointment forward. This is often done if you ask secretary nothing will likely happen if they do a letter you may get it quicker good luck very frustrating and miserable.
