Breastfeeding and withdrawal method, could I be pregnant?

I am still BF DD2 (18 months) and my periods have not returned.

DH and I have sex about 6 weeks ago and used the 'withdrawal method' - yes I realise this is not really considered reliable contraception - and now I am feeling quite sick and have a few other symptoms. DH says there is no way in the world I could be pregnant but we would both be pleased if I was.

Is it as highly unlikely as DH seems to think, that I am pregnant?

Of course you might be. Do a test.

The thing about lactational amenhorrea is that ou ovulate before you know you are fertile again - ie that first period is when you realise. So who knows!

I've just done a test and it's negative!
