Thought I would take the plunge and start the June thread! I won't be getting my May BFP as my cycles are sooooooo long. Who's. With me?

Haha littlemiss are you still winkling?

I have not dtd this morning. My back is really playing up and is on the brink of 'going'. Not good as we are off on hols in a couple of days. Still having ewcm! This is the 3rd day of it! I'm hoping it means I'm super fertile! Will try and dtd later if I can bare it with my back the way it is.

Shit. Back is really bad, can hardly move. Don't want to take anti inflamatitories just incase I'm preg Confused has anyone tried those stick on heat patches? Will they help me be able to move without crying ?

OP posts:
NicolaHazel · 26/05/2012 09:20

I haven't, but know someone with a prolapsed disc who swears by the hot and cold ones.

KickingUpQuestions · 26/05/2012 09:42

What's wrong with your back? Heat patches will only really work if its muscular. Don't put them on something that is inflamed. Use a cold compress if its inflamed or try rubbing it

we DID last night and the night before and knowing us, will do it again tonight. Hopefully it won't be a bad thing?

Pinkie29 · 26/05/2012 10:05

Good morning ladies Grin

Beautiful day hope your all enjoying it, my dp is working 12hrs booo! So bike ride (sneaky shopping) then gardening with my kitten today! 4dpo and cabin fever hasn't reared its ugly head

morecoffeemorecoffee · 26/05/2012 10:32

Yes, muscular. I'm pretty sure any way. This pain happens from time to time (every few months or so) just sent Dh to get some patches from pharmacy. Have a great pharmacist in town who has a way of getting you to tell him the ons and outs of your health issues, so I'm sure he is now aware of all my cycle/ttc history as well as my back issues!

As long as I don't lay down I will be fine

Hi morecoffee how did you hurt your back? Last year I hurt my back by falling down some stairs, was sore for aaaages! Its a horrible pain isn't it?

TMI here but if it makes you feel any better I have really sore arms today. Went to my parents for BBQ last night, I know I probably shouldn't have but had one wine too many, then when we got home I told DH I wanted it NOW Blush Ended up having to hold myself up on the dining room table, which was fun at the time but arms are killing me today! Why do I always get drunken sex injuries?!! Staying sober for rest of this cycle Grin

NicolaHazel · 26/05/2012 11:19

Ha ha, Queen, drunken sex injury fail there! All in a good cause though ;-p

winkle2 · 26/05/2012 13:44

Morecoffee - some people swear by morning sex to get preg! Fingers crossed! Job interview is Tuesday morning. Will be spending tomorrow revising - off out to enjoy the sun today!

winkle2 · 26/05/2012 13:47

Hope ur back is better soon!

Lovin all the funny sex stories!

morecoffeemorecoffee · 26/05/2012 14:06

Thanks. Not sure what I've done. It's so painful. Been lugging cases and furniture around the house, so probably that aggravated it. It's an old injury that rears its head occasionally. I hurt it originally lifting a box of wine bottle Blush but that was many years ago.

Dosed up on paracetamol at the moment. Contemplating dtd after my next dose Grin

queen your sex story made me laugh Grin Great way to multi task though- dtd and upper arm work out combined! Grin

morecoffee - you poor thing :( I never had any back probs til I was in last trimester with DS and then all my ligaments, joints, discs all just wanted to pack it in and I've needed physio twice since he came along. So I sympathise very very much!! Hope you feel better

winkle - yeah, def get some sun and relax today, best prep for a job interview is to feel relaxed, calm and confident. and a nice jetsetting go-getter sun tan can't do any harm either!!

DH been away all day today so had coffee with my friend and her toddler in our garden this morning - she's been living in england (we're in ni) for last 18 months since her DH got a job in london but he's just managed to get one back here and they are relocating back here next month, woo hoo, another mum friend! i'd say they'll be ttc no. 2 when they get back too, so, hopefully, a buddy to be preg with Grin then me, my mum and DS went to the park, got icecream and went to the toyshop (granny spoils him) so v nice afternoon. more ewcm (i think?) so along with dodgy skin, i'm thinking that maybe, just maybe, i'm OV right on time on CD14...tho because of my last 3 cycles i was thinking more like CD20. glad we managed to dtd 3 times this week with all this eod melarky! but whether i've OV or not, going to be keeping up the shagfest right up until AF shows up please don't flipping show up, i want a baby!!!!!

early night, bath, magazine, new true blood book, takeaway on the cards for me after DS has gone to bed. bliss!!

toobreathless · 26/05/2012 17:54

I cracked & tested yesterday..BFN. & I should clearly still be on the May thread...Doh! It has only just occurred to md that the June thread is for people testing in JUNE! Not overly upset. CD30 here & it t

toobreathless · 26/05/2012 17:56

....aaarrgh Sorry!

Anyway...it took me 10 days to get a BFP with DD. that was first thing in the morning too. Using the same Internet cheapies this time. So planning to test again if no AF on Friday. If I can wait that long!

Hope everyone else if enjoying the weather?

LittleMissSnowShine · 26/05/2012 18:41

Oh no toobreathless, that sucks! But..yay to no AF and you being on CD30, fx for you! Lovin this sunshine, I was hugely preg in this kind of heat in 2010 so fx that this time I will (and you will and we all will!) be hugely preg in cold, snowy Jan/Feb 2013 Wink

tedmundo · 26/05/2012 19:22

@ toobreathless .. Test again next week and this time it may be a happy outcome. Cd30 and no AF sounds promising to me.

@ morecoffee .. So sorry to hear about your back pain. no being able to take ibuprofen has to be the crapest part of pregnancy. Are the paracetamol even touching it?

@ littlemiss .. Loving the weather too. Spent the day on Weston beach, now the kids are in bed, DH nipped down to the local Chinese for a takeaway and I am having the tinest glass of cold beer.

@ Queenie .. Watch those sex injuries hon. there is a thread on here where health care professionals are posting stories from their time in A&E when people would come in VERY shamefaced!

CD19 here, or 5dpo if you prefer. ever hopeful....

Pinkie29 · 26/05/2012 19:26

Ted were almost on par im 3dpo cd20!

morecoffeemorecoffee · 26/05/2012 19:38

toobreathless don't be disheartened, test again next week, keeping fx for you.

littlemiss good signs for Ov! Looks like we will be testing around the same time as I have Ov this wk also (Im think haha!) I got preg in may 2005 with ds1 and it was lovely being heavily preg through the winter- was toasty warm all through the cold weather with my baby keeping me warm :) he was born in Feb :)

Back is terrible,I can hobble around but its agony whenever I move. Paracetamol has not made any difference. I really don't want to risk taking anything stronger, just in case.... I am determined to get.my bfp in June!

OP posts:
toobreathless · 26/05/2012 19:41

morecoffee codeine is ok in pregnancy if brufen isn't working. You can get 8/500 co-codamol over the counter, just beware it can bung you up & shouldn't be taken for more than 3 days.

Thanks tedmundo & Littlemiss as much as I'd like to be pregnant I will admit the BFN was a relief as I'm so scared about another ectopic. A few more cycles might give me more time to relax. I already feel so much calmer than I did one month ago.

Ladies due mid June..anybody planning on wrapping their BFP stick up for their DH/DP for fathers day Grin

morecoffeemorecoffee · 26/05/2012 20:02

Yes! I am planning on that as fathers day pressie if if if I can keep it from him! Hopefuly we will have lots of happy men on fathers day! :)

LittleMissSnowShine · 26/05/2012 20:14

toobreathless - we have DH's 30th b'day, our 3rd wedding anniversary and father's day all happening in June. Keep thinking what a perfect month it would be to get a BFP but worried it's all a bit much pressure so trying not to think about father's day and stuff also not sure DH would want a stick i peed on as a gift Grin

ted - I got a Chinese too!! All enthusiastically barbecuing for us all last night, too hot and tired tonight, yum yum lemon chicken!

morecoffee - i ended up at physio last month with bad back and i might have been preg then, it's hard to know what to take cos u feel so terrible! i took a couple of codeine tho, only needed to take them the day the pain was worst and then it subsided a bit. hang on in there - maybe a hot water bottle or a bath if the muscles are tensed up?

winkle2 · 26/05/2012 20:44

Toobreathless - sorry about BFN but hope it turns into a BFP in a few days!

onemoreforgoodmeasure · 26/05/2012 23:10

I should have known the June BFP thread would already be so busy... but 30 pages Shock! I will catch up slowly, would like to add my name to the register in the meantime! This is my second try, the first didn't end well. But I have a positive ov stick today (for the first time ever actually) and I have ovulation pains, so we are back on the ttc wagon! I think today is day 12 (I have had short cycles but am also in the wtf phase post mc) , so will be checking sticks in a few weeks. Here's to us all having February little ones!

LittleMissSnowShine · 27/05/2012 08:12

Hello onemore, yes we're chatty and some of us are refugees from May. And April. Sigh.

Looks like another belter of a day, im a bit wrecked cos our neighbours thought 4am was a great time for loyd 80s synth pop. For an hour. And then.a huge argument with slamming doors. Luckily DS sleeps thru everything, but I dont!! They're not normally neighbours from hell either, but they dont hav any kids and from.time to.time they mostly he likes to indulge a bit in various chemical substances and then... ((grits teeth))

Oh well, DS slept an hour later than usual tho snd now he's reading me picture books in bed...easier said than done since he only knows about 5 words and 2 of them are types of vehicle. Hee!
