Thought I would take the plunge and start the June thread! I won't be getting my May BFP as my cycles are sooooooo long. Who's. With me?

OP posts:

yo ted am delurking quickly... You don't need to dtd tonight if you got a positive opk on Monday. you would almost certainly have ov'ed by now - you would typically ov 12-48 hours after the start of the surge, usually 36 hours after. Weds morning dtd would have you covered until Fri/sat so all sorted.

BTW your fertile days would have been best in the run UP to the positive OPK and the day of ov. About four days before, dtd EOD until the day after ov, then you can stop. But you dtd the day before and that is a good 'un! :)

And relax :)

wilderumpus · 24/05/2012 21:36

hehe when!

Try tomorrow red, and don't forget that our bubs will come when they are ready, soon :) Sorry we egged you into it early.

yay for interview winkle

am too addicted to this forum :)

tedmundo · 24/05/2012 21:44

Thanks guys. God I love this site and this thread. you are all amazing!

@wilde .. We DTD saturday, Sunday and Monday in prep for the OV .. Thankfully very regular with my cycle so can work with dates easily. Couldn't face DTD on Tuesday, even though it was OV day (yes we really were that knackered!) so squeezed the cheeky early morning one in on Wednesday.

@whenshewasbad .. The students here are all very trendy and gorgeous and look through the harassed mummy with 2 snot nosed kids in a way that crushes my heart. If I roamed the streets they would probably press a 50p in my paw and tell me to buy myself a cup of tea.

winkle2 · 24/05/2012 23:20

Doing the reverse winkle!

Pinkie29 · 24/05/2012 23:25

Jealous! I want to winkle but he's fast asleep!

KickingUpQuestions · 24/05/2012 23:30

I did the wrinkle for nearly an hour but then needs the looked. I wouldn't have flushed them out would i?

winkle2 · 24/05/2012 23:34

I always go to the loo about half hour later - should be fine

KickingUpQuestions · 24/05/2012 23:36

Needed the loo rather

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 25/05/2012 06:40

One hour is impressive. I am far too lazy, only do the reverse winkle for about 20 minutes.

KickingUpQuestions · 25/05/2012 07:50

Desperate times call for desperate measures

winkle2 · 25/05/2012 08:39

I can't do it for an hour either. Last night was 10 mins doing the winkle and about 20 doing reverse. Quick loo visit and then bed so hopefully not too much went down the loo!

Although I've read it semen fluid that comes out, the sperm get shot up to where they need to go.

Anyone else getting bored of dtd!? ESP in this weather!

QueenOfTheDrama · 25/05/2012 08:43

Wow one hour?! I've been doing 10mins tops of winkle, maybe I need to be a bit more patient!

winkle I'm not bored of dtd yet as have managed it much this cycle so far but I know what you mean, its too hot to lie there and try to sleep in your own stickiness afterwards!

Any news today red?

LittleMissSnowShine · 25/05/2012 08:53

Red? You out there lady? Any news??

Re: winkling, im in the ten min camp - dtd, winkle and zzzz...hate the stickies tho! Ugh! But babies are very sticky, conception, birth, nappies, dribble, snotty noses, leaky boobs...its all part of the same continuum. Or so I tell myself when im falling asleep in the wet patch hee Wink

DH off with the boys tomorrow overnight so no dtd 2moro and he'll be in no fit state on sunday so even tho we dtd last night, going to hav to sneak in another one 2nite!

Hope everyone well, on phone so cant name check but enjoying all the updates!

KickingUpQuestions · 25/05/2012 08:58

Ok mebbe I don't have the winkle correct but lay there wif me legs in the air for nearly an hour.

What's the reverse winkle?

I love DTD with my DH. We went out for dinner to the Wharf which was just awesome and I've really gone from like...drinking every night...to being really off alcohol. I love a cold Coke with lots of ice now. I am REALLY happy about that. My DH doesn't drink at all so he used to stress about my drinking. I am just really thrilled that for the first time in years, alcohol isn't my stress release. I'm feeling really content (sun helps!)

Do you think if we DTD a couple days in a row it would be bad? I feel like I may OV soon though but it's our 6 month tomorrow and I just have a feeling that we may DTD a bit more. I don't want to have to say no if we both want it, but I also don't want to kill his swimmers. We've been doing EOD since CD5 and I am now CD10

LittleMissSnowShine · 25/05/2012 09:01

Ps) re: job chat - my job is v v family friendly, really easy place to work with a toddler to.mind and my boss is so keen.for me to hav another one (im tryin!!) But its a community sector job so theres no pension, its only funded for 2 more years tho it'll prob get extended and theres only stat maternity pay tho they are hoping to give me a month or two on.full pay and then let me come back on half-time part time hours. I was thinking about changing jobs for more money / security but in the end I think working in a job you like with supportive colleagues is really important when u have a family so if u hate your current job, screw getting a good maternity package and just go for it!

LittleMissSnowShine · 25/05/2012 09:05

Kicking - unless your DH actually has a low sperm count I really dont see why dtd more than eod would be a prob. Good on u with staying off tge vino too! I've cut way back and I didnt drink much anyway but I did have a nice glass of cold pinot grifio with a couple of friends out in.the sunshine last night!

KickingUpQuestions · 25/05/2012 09:12

He is quite fit and does a fair amount of sports, doesn't drink or smoke etc etc so don't think his sperm count is low. We bought online fertility tests so will just do that to make sure. If it says everything is fine, then we don't worry too much! :)

Ahhhh it's been lovely though, hasn't it? There is nothing like a bit of sunshine!
I hope our juicer comes today. I want to make smoothies!!

LittleMissSnowShine · 25/05/2012 09:57

Mmm smoothies...and then u can freeze em and hav smoothie icepops nom nom

KickingUpQuestions · 25/05/2012 10:55

New appliance order from Tesco arrives tomorrow.

Can't wait

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 25/05/2012 11:12

My body has crap timing. Just got a positive opk so will ovulate really late on cd 21 Angry. to make matters worse we are going away this weekend with dh's family. He does not do sex if anyone will overhear.

Stupid bloody cycle needs to get back to normal.

winkle2 · 25/05/2012 11:15

Does lying on your front make a difference?

HA - we were the ones discussing OV at the table reeking even more of baby desperation Grin

I want to work in the Wharf. We live in the area so it would just be so much more practical

KickingUpQuestions · 25/05/2012 11:24

whenshewas

Are you going home before you go away? Get some humping in before you leave?

redstrawberry · 25/05/2012 11:30

Thanks ladies :(
The witch hasn't shown up yet!
I'm not getting my hopes up at all.

TMI - got snotty yellow CM, never had this before.

This ttc stuff is so stressful I hate feeling this way. I just want this cycle to be over.
