has anyone been late, done a preg test and its been neg, but still turned out to be pregnant? im 3 days late, and took a test on fri and sat and both were neg, is there any way i could still be preg? i thought that if the pregnancy hormone was strong enough to stop your period, then it was strong enough to turn a test positive? is this just rubbish iv made up, or is it true?

When I was pregnant with dd2 I was 1 week late when I did my first test and it came up negative. I did another test a week later and it came up positive.

I'ld expect a test to show up positive once your period was a week late. best of luck.

I too had a long wait to find out I was pregnant with DD. Took 3 tests - all negative - and only go my BFP after 10 days.

A pharmacist once told me that you should test with early morning wee, rather than whatever it says on the packet as otherwise your wee can be too dilute for the test to work. If you have been asleep overnight, there will be maximum opportunity for the hormone to infuse your wee, as it were. Hope this helps. Fingers crossed for some good news soon

Yes lanismum, this happened to me too. I was sure I was pregnant, did a test and was really surprised it was negative, but another test a few days later was positive. In the early days of pregnancy, sometimes the pregnancy hormone isn't strong enough to push the test in the right direction.

The only thing you can know for sure is that there's no such thing as a false positive. Keep on doing those tests...
