Sperm donor advice wanted!!

I have a 6 year old daughter and would like a sibling for her, I'm single so sperm donation seems so be the best way :
)
I would want to be the sole carer, however I would be happy to keep in contact with the donor via email, send pictures and updates etc. I would like my child to be able to see where he/she came from, but would understand that he would not be classed as 'dad'.
I have had a look on the internet and don't think the clinic route is such a good idea beacause of the anonymity, this place seems pretty good:-

sperm donation is not anonymous anymore - your child will have the right to have the donor identified at 18.

Clinics registered in the UK with the HFEA is the only way to go IMO if you want to avoid STD's, genetic disorders which are commonly screened for etc

I should add that I know someone personally whose (DI) child had severe autism. It was subsequently discovered that several of the donors children over a long time also developed autism. They are suing the clinic in a class action as teh clinic knew and kept quiet. The clinic is in USA.

All I can say on the subject is.... be careful.
There are a lot of good people privately donating but an equally bad number too.
FSDW is a good site but often throws donors off for asking for sex.
Avoid Tadpole donations like the plague.
