late period

i had a coil fitted seven months ago (hormone one) and up until now i have had periods as normal. just not this month its gone on holiday and not told me.

i have done a test and its definitely negative, is this what the nurse told me would happen( she said they would stop) or am i pregnant and not showing yet??

any ideas??

Is it a Mirena coil? If so, I had one for 4 years and I found that at the beginning (for the first 6 months), my periods were getting lighter and then they gradually tailed off so that after 6 months I very rarely got one. Sometimes I'd get every other symptom but no bleed and other times I just got a very light bleed. Suited me as heavy/painful periods were one of the main reasons I chose Mirena.
