I came off pull in nov 2010 and still no baby although only actively trying this year.

I've been having unprotected sex since April last year though...

On pill for 7 years, stopped then it took 6mths. Didn't go back on it and conceived again after 3mths of trying.

One of my friends who has PCOS was on the pill for 9 years no breaks, stopped taking it and conceived that month. Took her about 10mths to concieve her second. She was only diagnosed with PCOS after her first child was born due to the symptoms being masked by the pill, and was told that a second may never happen. Thankfully baby 2 is due anytime now.

I got pregnant the month i came off the pill after being on it for 10+ years, I did the mini pill while bfing and then back on my old pill when i stopped at 6 months. the mini pill did not agree with me and i had periods every other week. last August we decided to try for number 2 and now in April are still no nearer. My periods have been all over the place ranging from 3 - 6 weeks, some very heavy but short and others more normal. i use ov sticks and my period always starts 2 weeks after a positive result but other than that there is no pattern at all. I wish i had never taken the mini pill as I have since read of lots of people struggling after using this brand of pill.

i also think that with baby number 2 you are much more technical and clinical about it, knowing your cycle too well and studying lots of other patterns, where as number 1, for me anyway, was more relaxed as i didnt know whether i could have kids and i had the attitude of 'if it's meant to be'. now i know i can, and i have the added stresses of worrying why i cant get pregnant now.

Baby number one took over 2 years and was on 12 years on pill..the one with the break...I was told it was likely it was the hormones that affected me. I did have 2 losses in that time.

I was not relaxed at all about it the end after so much heartache. All 3 times I fell...I was not trying tho lol! Only one little one stuck about and he's crawling round my floor right now!

I went on cerazette whilst bf then back onto the other type. I don't want to stay on it for much longer due to worries of how it affects me or possibly affects me. I just didn't want to fall preg on mat leave! Hopefully 9 months to 12 months won't have the same affect.
