Breastfeeding, periods and TTC...your experiences please!

I have a 9 month old dd. Apart from one bottle of formula in the evening she was fully breastfed for 6 mths. She has been on formula all day and bfed at night for two months and for a month has stopped b'feeding at night. When I do b'feed her which is now rare she seems to suck for a few seconds and is then starts playing around so I think she is losing interest in bfeeding altogether. (there is milk there though)

I haven't had a period yet and we haven't used any contraception since dd was born. I still have no sign of a period. Just wondering other people's experience of conceiving after b'feeding and how common it is to conceive without having a period first. Also wondering why dd has suddenly got fed up of b'feeding - is this common at her age??

Re. the conceiving without periods returning - lockets recently got pg with db3 without having AF. It is unusual but not unknown.

I'm bfing and ttc atm but no periods as yet so I'm not holding out much hope.

after reading that bf programme your dd can just get fed up of it good luck with the ttc

I am an oddity, periods came back 4 weeks after lochia finished then had them every 4 weeks after that despite BFing DD1 for a year, conceived DD2 when DD1 was 9 months.
