Well, that's ruined my day. I'm off to hunt down hot water for a brew.

Have a good day one and all.

Is the kettle still not working Whims?

Geek you poor thing. It is so hard isn't it. Your poor DH too. It's hard not to put pressure on them sometimes, bad though that sounds.

Best I am a tad achey. Legs aren't too bad, but my arms are very heavy, and I feel this will just get worse throughout the day Grin

So, I am meant to be taking the laid back approach this month, i.e. no temping and just swi every other day. But I thought I would take my temp this morning, and it was really low, lower than it ever has been. So I have henceforth decided that I am not not ovulating anymore, which is doing wonders for the 'stress-free' method Grin

Oh, and I forgot to add yesterday, when I found out my cousin was pregnant last week, bearing in mind she knows some of the troubles we have been having, told me to 'relax and have lots of sex'. Well blow me, that must be where I am going wrong Angry

Sorry for yet another me me me Blush

cakes82 · 24/04/2012 09:55

I only used OPKs for one month during time we were ttc. I think I did it to prove to myself that my body was working more than anything else. I found EWCM the way to time swi the better way to figure out when af was due. My body never settled down after coming off pill so this was only way I could have half an idea. I could never have told my dh 'tonight we must swi' or words to that effect cause I think we would have stopped having sechs totally or there would have been a lot of fails.

Hope everyone is feeling ok, today is another day,,

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 24/04/2012 09:55

maybe I'm Angry on your behalf. That sort of comment makes me go "grrrrr" inside Angry

Don't worry about your temp, it means nothing as you well know! :)

Thanks Fluff.

New pup picture on my profile. Had to do it at work instead. He has taken to sleeping like a human would in the car Smile

cakes82 · 24/04/2012 10:10

Ahh cute :)

Purpledragon · 24/04/2012 10:22

maybe in reference to your random temp taking conclusions - I convinced myself, based on a couple of freak temps, that I ov-ed on CD 5. Much sulking and Dr googling, and more sulking delayed the start of shag week. Because I was not going to shag with ov behind me and anyway was too busy sulking... Grin

clickingtock · 24/04/2012 10:24

Maybe love the dignified pup snooze. Peggy saw her BF again today and is now sleeping it off!!

NoMaybeAboutIt · 24/04/2012 10:29

Ah, the life of a pup Click Grin But where is she in her cycle, any +ve OPKs? Grin

Grin Purple It's rediculous really isn't it. I am going to calm down and shag for Britain, as recommended to me Wink

Thanks Cakes how are you?

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 24/04/2012 10:30

He's such a cutie maybe - I can't believe he's 7 months already! :)

cakes82 · 24/04/2012 10:34

All well here 16+4 no ms just tired.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 24/04/2012 10:36

Wow Cakes that has flown by! Glad the ms has kept at bay.

Thanks Fluff, I know, the timne has literally flown by!

ScarlettInSpace · 24/04/2012 10:51

Hi all, just nipped in to see how you all are [tea] you talk far too much to namecheck but am trying to keep up to date with everything and brooking for you all quietly in the background Wink

So much for my 2-3 months of stress free nonchalont SFF, just got my appt for IVF clinic, it's on Monday Shock - just when you want the NHS waiting lists to do their job and take for ever, it takes no time at all!

Anyway am continuing with not thinking about it too much so won't stay long, just thought I'd update you, nice to see some new faces Smile and glad to see all the sticky beans still sticking Grin

as you were ladies! xx

ScarlettInSpace · 24/04/2012 10:52

Brew obviously.
Will be a ban on Wine once the treatment starts I guess Sad

NoMaybeAboutIt · 24/04/2012 10:59

Wow Scarlett that is so quick. I am keeping everything crossed for you on Monday. Please drop by and let us know how it goes. Sending lots of love x

BartletForAmerica · 24/04/2012 11:16

Sorry I've not been writing much. I do keep reading, but am also trying to not obsess about the whole TTC thing either. I do go up and down - part of me just wants to throw in the towel now and be happy with what I have been given, then part of me hurt every time I see yet another pregnancy announcement on FB. Why, why, why do people put their scan photos up??? Anyway, back to normal programming...

Scarlett, that's great. I don't know anything about IVF but I imagine that you don't start treatment straightaway anyway, so still plenty of time to enjoy SFF and to get that ironic BFP.

Maybe, I am so grateful to your cousin for her advice to you. Angry I've admired your puppy, but was more interested in why there are pictures of your socks?

cakes, great news from you too. Can't believe how quickly time has gone!

Best, welcome! You can't be far from us, where it is also cold and wet. But I did force myself out this morning to go Week 6 Run 1 of the Couch to 5K. It is nice to be back to running but I am always surprised how lack of exercise through hyperemesis and PGP really deconditions me and how it is like starting from scratch after both DS and DD. Perhaps I should join Maybe in applying for the marathon to guarantee my own ironic BFP?

clicking, took me ages to work out who you were, but sorted now! :)

Hello everyone else. Sorry if I've not said hello but housework calls. Yippee. Hmm

NoMaybeAboutIt · 24/04/2012 11:35

Bartlet it is so tough, especially with all you have dealt with. We are here for both your lows and your highs.

There are pictures of the socks as someone was asking to see which socks I was making at the time Grin (plus I do really, really love socks)

Good on you for getting into running again. Yes, I feel a rat smacking team for the marathon coming on Grin

whimsicalname · 24/04/2012 12:04

Still no kettle maybe. It's not broken, it's GONE.

But we do have £40,000 worth of new light up notice boards, so that's ok isn't it.

ScrambledSmegs · 24/04/2012 12:22

Afternoon everyone. Will try and namecheck everyone but please forgive me if I miss you out, it's not on purpose!

Geek sorry to hear about the sex-fail. If it makes you feel any better, we've all been there at some point or another. I can only guess at how difficult it is for you, with all the added pressures of ttc for an extended time and your DP's medical problems. Hopefully you can work something out together.

Hello and welcome to Purple and Spectra

Hi BestLaidPlans, have we met? If not, nice to see you here and positive rat-smacking vibes are heading your way!

whims I hope you got a nice hot Brew this morning. Always makes the world look a bit better, doesn't it?

Maybe Shock well who'da thunk it?! Just relax and have lots of sex, eh? Clearly she has a glittering career as a fertility guru ahead of her. Daft mare (sorry, I know she's your cousin, but that really deserves derision!). Love the new pics of Otis, he looks so snuggly!

Bartlet I'm with you on the scan pics. I don't understand it either. Actually, one of my friends for whom nothing is TMI did put her first scan pic up years ago, and didn't quite get the reaction she was expecting. I think the most sensible response was 'Is it one of those seeing eye pics? I can see a chicken'! The others were far ruder, I've never been so glad to have a bunch of mates with a collective juvenile sense of humour! She didn't get the hint though, and after a blow-by-blow account of her daughter's potty-training I hid her feed

bean/tock FX for Peggy and her BF, here's hoping for a litter of gorgeous Cairnzers.

at Sweetie, Solars and cakes

Aargh, I've run out of brainspace. Erm... well, I'm feeling a lot better today. Still nauseous but manageable. Went to the GP and got my thrush treatment, and he also checked out my blood pressure and weight. He's a new doctor, and totally freaking gorgeous. I swear I'm getting hot flashes just thinking about him Blush

Bartlet - feeling it for you. The towel is always just in reach, isn't it? Try not to put yourself under too much pressure. Bloomin impossible I know.

I like your juvenile friends too Smegs. Are you feeling a bit better?

Sparks - love the call to arms!

Hugs to all.

DS has first trip to dentist today. Better get the brillo pads out first.

xxx

ScrambledSmegs · 24/04/2012 13:23

Brillo pads? What does your DS need brillo pads for, clickingtock?

Yes, a lot better today thanks. Sleep really helps. Yesterday was bad, I finally fell out of bed at 3pm, and eating supper took me 2 hours. Today I'm a lot more cheerful, eating and drinking regularly.

Hot GP also said that if I ever find that the ms is unmanageable I can come back and get a prescription for some drugs to help. I don't really want to as I hear that they make the nausea worse while suppressing vomiting, and as it's the nausea that keeps me awake I really don't want that!

Stacks · 24/04/2012 13:39

Hey everyone. Just a random comment to smegs - when I was getting chemo I had anti-nausea drugs, and they did make the nausea better. I never did get sick with it, just felt awful, and the drugs did help. I think it's a bit like travel sick pills, part of what they do it stop you hyper-salivating which can be part of what makes you feel like you're going to be sick.

I don't actually know much about it all though, but if it does get bad, go see the hot doc and talk to him. He can maybe reassure you about how they work, and won't just send you home with a prescription. You'll also get to see him again Wink
