TTC, no sign of AF, but BFN...

Hi all, am looking for some advice/help/hope.
We are TTC DC2. Had implant up til June last year, got BFN on new years day and then MMC and ERPC in early Feb.
Cycle settled down into previous pattern following ERPC and AF was due on Monday. Had EWCM around CD 14 and a little pain which I think might have been ovulation. I then had some very light brown spotting 10 DPO. I generally have a 27 day cycle. AF was due Monday but no sign. Also feeling very slightly nauseous. Have POAS both on Monday and today, but BFN both times. Any advice anyone? Thanks in anticipation.

Hi Ethelred, a similar thing happened to me, I POAS when AF was due and again 7 days later and got a BFN. Assumed AF would arrive at some stage and didnt think much more of it, then another 14 days later, AF still hadnt arrived, so tested again and BFP. Maybe wait a few more days and test again? Good luck!

Thank you! Gives me some hope, although at the same time, am trying not to get my hopes up. Smile

Some cycles can be longer than others , maybe you ovulated later this month so af will be later. If you ovulated on day 14 that would make you 15 dpo, so test in a couple of days if af does not show up. good luck

Thanks homeaway .

I think the thing that made me feel a bit more hopeful than usual was that I thought the light spotting might have been implantation... Its SO hard to not get your hopes up, just to be dashed by AF's arrival at some inconvenient time! Grin

Has anyone else got any sterling advice? Smile

I'm in exactly the same position! AF due last Friday - and nada. 2 BFNs. My guess is that we ovulated late this month (and AF will come late or a BFP will be late)?

EthelredOnAGoodDay · 19/04/2012 08:19

It's so frustrating NQ isn't it?! Yes I'm sure you are right. Will keep you posted. And keeping everything crossed.

Morning! The question is - how long to wait before we test again? Once a week? What are you planning to do?

EthelredOnAGoodDay · 19/04/2012 10:27

What about Monday morning? We could try again together? And then after that, if still a BFN, what do we do?!

hello can I join this!!! AF is due Sat and I have a feeling I'm gonna get a BFP soon. I tried this morning but BFN but think it's a little early. We havent been actively trying but I think I'll be a little disappointed if I'm not. My periods have been all over the place recently, some early some 10 days late!!! So really dont have a clue when AF is properly due, I'm just guessing Sat as it will be CD 28. I have the tell tale sore boobs, I also had some cramping which I'm guessing was implantation pains last Wed, would this be about right? I kinda know my own body, and if I could bet money I'd say I was preg!!! Strange isnt it. But, at the same time, I could be completely wrong!!!

EthelredOnAGoodDay · 19/04/2012 13:03

Course you can! It is a killer isn't it when your cycle is all over the place. Anyway, just been to loo and v small amount of pinkybrown CM, so god knows whether it's going to turn into full blown AF. arrgh. Confused

It is a nightmare!!! I came off the pill because my cycle was all over the place on that. mainly because I kept forgetting to take it!!! I just cant work out my body at all. My boobs are really sore and that's what has given away Preg the past times (1ds aged 20 months, 1mc). The waiting is killing me!! I just want to know!!! I cant even remember when we had sex so cant even work out if we did when I was fertile or not!!! Are you still able to conceive if u have sex before ovulation? Do the sperm still carry on living? xxx

theplumfairy · 19/04/2012 13:14

I had this a couple of months ago. I have v irregular cycle but had roughly calculated when AF was due. Had lots of BFNs for two weeks before finally giving up and made a doctors appointment to discuss my irregular cycles. Doctor said I had probably not ovulated so I should just wait for the next cycle. She booked me in for some blood tests to find out why AF is all over the place.
A couple of days later (9th March) I had ovulation cramping so poas (OPK) and bingo, I was ovulating! We made the most of it as it seemed to be the first time I ovulated all year. Two weeks later I got a BFP and I am now 8 weeks PG. I haven't had AF since 2nd Dec!

I know this is a rambly post, but its really to say that perhaps you have not ovulated yet but you may do soon so keep tuned to your body and you might be able to pinpoint it.

EthelredOnAGoodDay · 19/04/2012 13:39

Thanks plumfairy. Is frustrating as my cycles have always been very stable and predictable pre MC and conceiving DD was pretty straightforward (in comparison!) am starting to get AF type cramps so not hopeful, but you never know.

Pips, yes you can I think, but it has to be fairly close to ovulation I think? I am no expert!

I'm out. Sad AF has arrived, has made a brew and has now got her feet up!
Good luck to the rest of you though! Smile

NarcolepsyQueen · 19/04/2012 22:10

Sorry to hear that - hugs and Wine

Still an AF free zone here. POAS in the morning? One week late by then. My Dad kindly suggested it may be an early menopause Hmm

EthelredOnAGoodDay · 19/04/2012 22:15

that was nice of him! ha ha ! Grin
hope its good news for someone on this thread!!! xxx
