Pregnant after Etopic

I am hoping someone here can offer me some advice. Last October i had a cervical ectopic pregnancy. Which was treated with methotrixate injections and then a ECRP. I was advised on to try and get pregnant for at least 6 months from the end of my treatment (mid November).

I have been on the pill but to my surprise I am now 5 weeks pregnant. I am worried like hell, and can not get to see my doctor for another week as i am on holiday. Dose anyone here know what if any harm my baby could be under, or if anyone has had the same problem. Thanks

I'm not a medical person and obviously you need to talk to someone who is but try not to worry cos if you google methotrixate for ectopic pregnancy(in wikipedia) under adverse effects it says do not get pregnant until one ovulation cycle is complete from the treatment. this to me suggests things should be ok for you - its a long time since you had the treatment! Hope that helps! x good luck x

I completely understand the worry but I was told that three months was the time taken for methotrexate to clear from the system, which also suggests that you should be fine. Try not to worry until you can talk to a proper medical professional though.

Many thanks for your advice. I had two shots of methotrixate, but hope I will be ok. Going to see my GP when i get home on Friday.
