Implantation bleed or AF??

Hi

I'm in my first cycle of TTC #1 and I'm on CD25, yesterday I had a bleed that was dark brown in colour. I'm usually around a 28 day cycle although on occasion have been earlier.

I really got my hopes up that I was pg as my nose has been really stuffy and my nipples have swollen up. I am now grasping at straws and hoping the above was an implantation bleed.

Has anyone ever experienced one and what was it like? Please help a crazy symptom spotter out Wink

Sounds encouraging! i've been pregnant 4 times (2 successful) and have had an implantation bleed twice (DD1 & mc2). Both times it was like pinky/brown cervical mucas and came and went really quickly.

However, my first sign of pregnancy is always blocked up nose, tingly nipples and blue veins appearing on my boobs!! Have you got an early test? If so I'd give it a go - but I have no self control when it comes to POAS tho!! Goodluck!

With my DS I was regular then, 26 day cycles. Had bleed for half a day on cd22. Sounds encouraging. I'd wait another 2 days then test.

Thanks everyone. I'm getting AF type cramps now but I'm going to remain hopeful! I think I will wait until Wednesday to see what happens as that's when AF should have been due!

It's only early days anyway so I'm sure I'll have more months like this before I hopefully get lucky Smile

hi everyone i came on on day 28 bt it was light spotting and then bled the next day and spotted for another 2 days after that could this be implantation?how long till u can do a test?

test now but sounds like your period.

no i havent tested yet.my period is normally heavey for 3 to 4 days

unlikely to be an implantation bleed but you may be pregnant and have a bleed around the time you usually have your period, that's not that uncommon. just test , Asda and boots both do own brand very cheap tests.

oh so sorry to hear that. I guess it was a light period after all. Fingers crossed for you next month. some people don't get a BFP until they are really very late but considering the bleed and the negative seems unlikely for you :(

Hi guys sorry for the late reply and sorry Bam that it was bfn :( fingers crossed for next month.

I tested this morning and got a bfp!! I am in shock really - bit nervous as I had a mc 4 years ago but I'm hoping for the best this time round :) if all goes well I will have a boxing day baby :)
