We want to TTC #2 but while my periods returned 4 months after I had dd they have since stopped. I've had a blood test and I'm definitely not pg.

They were regular until I went back to work part time when dd was 11 months. I had one v light and slightly late period (3 days of spotting really) and nothing since. I've been back full time for a month. I am breastfeeding dd, who is now nearly 13 mo.

Does anyone have any advice about how to get my cycle back? I wonder if my body is too tired with working, feeding and getting up at night about three times because she's a bad sleeper.

I can't shead any light but I'm currently wondering where my periods have gone - 3 weeks late, -ve pregnancy tests, we're not trying and think we've been careful...

I'm guessing like me you've googled for all the obvious stuff like stress, weight loss? could either of those me affecting you? are you breastfeeding more at the moment or for longer? I didn't have any periods whilst feeding - tbh though everything you put about being tired etc could be affecting it too

It could be stress, my work is quite challenging and I'm definitely tired. I don't know how to fix that though. The job is the job and I can't make dd sleep more (wish I could). DH helps as much as he can but has a long commute and works away sometimes.

I'd try acupuncture but I'm scared of needles Grin

Don't have any advice for you but I am in the same boat. Breastfed dd till she was 13 months then stopped (she is now 14 months). Have not had a period since May 2010.
Want to try for no 2 but body is just not playing ball. Nurse who did my smear recently said to ask GP for blood tests to check hormones if periods don't come back after a few months.

Best of luck.

Can't help but my DS is nearly 22 months. I bf til 7.5 months. Periods started 6 weeks after that and since then have been very irregular, 16-48 day cycles. Basic hormone checks all normal, but a right pain for ttc!

Hope things settle down for all of us soon.
Good luck

happy what about reflexology? I didn't get my periods back after ds3 and had reflexology, no period but I did fall pregnant Smile was very relaxing - maybe it was the relaxing bit that helped with stress...
