I was on the pill for ten years and came off it last August. My cycle has been regular ish, between 28 and 36 days, but getting my period every month (same as pre pill). This month I haven't come on so tested with a cheapo morrison test. It didn't come up with anything , tried a second one and it was negative. I still haven't come on but felt some wierd tummy pains a few weeks ago, have noticed an odd taste in my mouth and boobs seem a bit more tender than normal - but could be imagining it!

Not really sure what to do - retest or book doctors appointment?

I would retest and if still negative go to GP. You were perhaps testing too early before.

Are you hoping to be pg?

Even by the longest cycle I am two weeks late. We are trying breadandhoney so yes. That is why i think I might be imagining it.

2 weeks is quite late, I'd expect a positive to come up by now if you were pregnant tbh? I think a GP trip might be in order if nothing turns up soon?

Yeah it can't do any harm to go to the GP. Hope you get a positive outcome!

I am thinking exactly the same thing textpest and it's driving me crazy. I think your symptoms sound really promising! I woud re-test if I were you.

I don't ever seem to ovulate (have PCOS) and my last cycle was almost a year long. I'm convinced I ov'd on 2nd or 3rd Apr. Had sharp pains and spotting so asked GP for progesterone test which was done yesterday. Had some brown spotting last night and pink spotting this morning (sorry if TMI) which I've convinced myself was implantation bleed. The rational me says that it's all in my head. Could any of this be coincidence? Can someone please give me some advice before I go to mothercare and kit out the nursery slowly mental Grin

I'm impressed that you are being so patient!

I did another test this morning still negative - managed to get a GP appointment this afternoon. Made the mistake of going on NHS direct and have self diagnosed with

  • Early menopause
  • Polycystic Ovaries
  • I am a man.
I shouldn't be allowed to use the internet without supervision!!

All the best for your appointment this afternoon. Hope you get some answers.

Complete waste of time. Dr didn't listen and offered to put me back on the pill. Which would really help with the TTC!!
