Implantation or not?

Hi, I found out on Thursday (cd 26) that I'm pregnant! Wouldn't usually test so early, but it was DH's birthday, so thought why not?

Really surprised and delighted (we've been trying for 18 months, I had a miscarriage at 8 weeks in September) but obviously aware it's ridiculously early.

Yesterday and today I've noticed small smudges on my underwear, nothing major, and thought it may be implantation bleeding/spotting.

But I've now noticed that since yesterday my boobs are much less sore, and I've not been aware of the abdominal twinges I've had for the last week.
Obviously now wondering if implantation has happened and everything has gone a bit quiet before the nausea etc kick in, or if it means it's all over again.

I know nobody can really be sure and time will tell, but does anyone have any wisdom to help put my mind at rest? Hopes
Thanks

I thought implantation happened before you get a BFP?
A little bit of bleeding can be normal in early stages just keep an eye on it! Congratulations! :)

Thanks Happily, I thought that too, but read somewhere that it can be around the time your period would arrive, and can be mistaken for it.

hoping hoping hoping !

I thought the implantation dip is from a slight drop in progesterone from the follicle stopping production and the embryo starting. Progesterone is also what causes the sore breasts?

How far along are you? I got a BFP at 11dpo which was pre 4 weeks and thus the websites all told me that implantation was not complete yet. No idea how true that is though.

Summary is.. Try not to worry. Easier said than done I know, I'm still worrying nearly 2 weeks after my BFP. With long term ttc you spend so much time trying not to get your hopes up so you don't get hurt, that you forget it's ok sometimes. Good luck.

Thanks Stacks, that's good to know about the progesterone/implantation/breast link, I wasn't aware of it.

My BFP was 12 dpo, 2 days (at least) before I thought I'd come on. It was a definite positive, though, I used the Clearblue digital and it said 1-2 weeks which all made sense. I'm obviously just neurotic after the mis last year :(

Congratulations and good luck to you too!
