i really know nothing about when you can concieve, am i right in thinking theres only a few days each month when you can, and they are right in the middle of your cycle? ie my cycle is 28 days long and me period is always around 16th of month - therefore what are the chances of me getting pregnant between now and my period?
thanks!!

Well, as I understand it, your egg is released mid-term and that's the best time to conceive. That said, it's not necessarily the only time. Stranger things and all that.

Don't listen to me though. There are people on here who know a lot about this stuff. I am not one of them!

Mu cycles is 28 days too and I ovulate between day 10 and 14 usually. As I believe it is few days before and couple days after ovulation that is 'prime' time. So week before period is unlikely. However, as everyone says, anything can happen but my advice is just go for it as soon as your period finishes for at least a week!
I am just TTC now too so willlet you know if this theory works. My DH has been poorly the last3 weeks so missed even trying. Got to wait another week for period then will be tying him to the bed!
