Injecting yourself... what gets you in the mood?!

Only once a day thank goodness and I'm motivated enough to get it done, but wondered how others get in the mood?

1st time curiosity helped, 2nd went ok plus a box of chocolate helped 3rd was harder as I was a bit clumsy and I know I have more to come.

Tips for tonight's needle please!

I got my DH to do mine, I really could not bring myself to do them!
Good luck xxx

DH is phobic of needles so not much help, I will put him on treat afterwards duty though as the moral support helps. Thanks for the luck Smile

I think of it this way: it really doesn't hurt that much when you think about it. I hurt myself more on a daily basis by carrying a plastic bag that cuts into my hand, giving myself a paper cut or having my foot trodden on by some inconsiderate twat on the train. It's just odd because you are doing it to yourself. But it actually doesn't feel any worse than a dozen minor bits of pain you get every day.

That's a great tip eurochick, strangely Match of the Day helped because I find it dull and injection was more interesting and it has helped to talk about it a bit. Having it over Easter is helpful in some ways but has left me with limited opportunities to talk to people who I trust enough about actually going through treatment .
