I need your advice! Am I going mad? Am I imagining things?

My cycles are bad. All over the place. Never sure when I ovulate. Already have 2 dc so o know I do Ov and can get pg, but this time its been difficult. Been ttc for about 15 months. The probs with my cycles are being investigated, but no signs of any reasons for the problems have shown yet.
Not sure when AF due, but possibly this tues?

So back to the point.........

Yesterday poas and got a faint bfp (first response).Dh also saw the result and said it was obviously there!
I've had tingley (like you get when bf) feelings in my nipples&boobs yesterday and today.
Also had achey boobs today.

Poas this morning (clear blue digital with words) git a bfn
Took test apart ( Blush ) and there were in fact 2 lines inside, the 2nd line was lighter than the first, but clearly visible)
Just did a sainsburys test (I know I know!) and there was a barely there bfp, BUT this test was not first morning urine, in fact it was about the 3rd time I've p/urine today, so quite weak?

So my question.......

Do you think I am pregnant?
How accurate are different tests?
Which test shall I buy today to use tommorow?
If I make an appointment with gp on tues, will they do a bloodtest and how long until results come through?

I would appreciate your opinion!

TIA!

Don't bother with a blood test at this point. The GP won't do one anyway most likely. If you have had a bfp then you are pregnant! Tests are virtually 100% accurate. It's just that some take a higher level of pregnancy hormone than others to register a positive result.
Perhaps post a picture of the bfp for us so we can see if you have imagined it.

If you want to test again tomorrow to make sure you weren't imagining it, I would recommend a Superdrug non digital test and/or a First Response Early Result. These are both very reliable when early testing.

I think given what you have said you probably are pregnant, just not far along enough for the digital test you tried to pick it up yet :)

Thanks katandkit will send Dh out to get those :) how far along do you have to be for a gp to do a blood test? They did not do one when I was pregnant with my other dc (they did not offer a blood test and I did not ask for one).

The GP will not do a blood test at all normally. Most won't even do a urine test - they'll just tell you that home tests are fine and take your word for it.

Blood testing for pregnancy is only done when problems are suspected.

Ah ok thanks.I had never heard of gps doing blood tests or urine tests until I joined the mn conception threads and had read of others having them. When I had my other dc, I just told gp I was pregnant, he believed me and started the process of seeing midwife etc.

Will test again tommorow and Monday and Tuesday and see what happens.

Thanks for your advice :)

kat is very knowledgeable so I won't contradict her! All I'd add is ime clearblue are particularly insensitive, especially the digital ones so if you're seeing two lines on different tests and getting bfn on a cbd, it's more likely you're getting a false negative on the cbd than false positives on the others! So congratulations, I think you're pregnant!

Hi have :) thanks for your advice. Been scanning some conception threads and a lot of people say cb digital are not very sensitive. I hope you are right!

I am armed with 6 dif tests to see me through the next few days.

I'm feeling a bit more positive now :)

Hey morecoffee, i got a BFP on the superdrug early response test, 2 days before it showed up on CB Digital (the superdrug test is a non-digital, fairly basic looking test, but apparently it's a sensitive measure). My line on the superdrug test was pretty feint, but definitely there. I took loads of pics of it on my phone so I could keep looking at it to check once the 4 minutes were up!

I am now 6 weeks Grin - wishing you all the best for a BFP!
